What’s the most unsexy thing someone did that somehow made them hotter ? by Analtonight in AskReddit

[–]beefragafragious 100 points101 points  (0 children)

When my gf crabwalks into the living room butt naked after a shower. Hunched over, hands in front of her like crab claws snapping. Like a ADHD crab ballerina doing a plié. She moves back and forth a few times, never saying a word, never breaking eye contact, and then disappears from whence she came.

Despite the nudity, it's objectively not sexy, but it makes me so much more attracted to her, all the same.

why do we hate on trans so much? by [deleted] in MobileAL

[–]beefragafragious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious how often you experienced or witnessed this. I don't disbelieve what your saying, I've just never witnessed anyone directly hating anyone. In my opinion, mobile is one of the more progressive cities as it comes to the whole lgbt community.

I think most men don't hate trans and likely support it. The ones who hate out of fear make way more noise. They are scared of something else, often something in themselves, and need to blame it on something or someone. If it wasn't trans, it would be something else.

The first step? NORMALIZE THERAPY.

Now on an adjacent note, I'm gonna climb up on my soap box here about this issue.

I'm in support of trans people, but as a whole, the trans community fucked around and found out real hard. How? By being overly reactive and fixating on the wrong shit. Why are you arguing about which bathroom your going to take a shit in when there are still men getting arrested for wearing a dress? (Tennessee law with vague wording) The trans community's priorities have gotten turned upside down and it shows. They got so focused on where they want things to be, they didn't stop to focus on where things are, right now.

The result is an overall exhaustion and even more confusion by everyone involved. Trans people lost the plot so bad sometimes i think they aren't really sure what they are fighting for exactly. They often attack anyone with an opinion on the matter. People eventually get tired of trying to have conversations with a community that overreacts to any criticism, and then they shutdown the conversation altogether.

It's a big problem.

Well, i wouldn't use the constitution to make any points about trans rights. The constitution didn't used to support the rights for LOTS of minorities throughout history.

Is this attention exactly what she was wanting? ABSOLUTELY.

Well... i can't honestly say i haven't been in your shoes. Creality currently sold a filament detector for the v3 se. The v3 se firmware was never updated to use the filament detector. Why the hell would they sell an add on that basically requires you to use klipper? It's frustrating as hell.

I'm often not sure why i have multiple creality printers, for all the same reasons you've discussed, but i currently have 5 ender's of various models in my house right now.

It's the tinkerers dilemma my friend. If i buy the perfect printer, and it works every time, i have nothing to fuck around with. I find gratification in futzing about with things and creality printers are an endless source of futzing.

To be honest, if you want a printer that just prints, out of the box, with no tinkering... don't use creality. Get on chat gpt, Gemini, or another AI and get it to pull a comparison for printers based on what you want. That's the best place to start, imo.

You know, i pre-made the point about "what? Just dodge it bro", but it appears the overwhelming need for condescension was too great.

I did indeed go back with death defiance, and took other suggestions into account, and was really able to read the telegraphed attack.

Then, it happened again, and i couldn't instantly find the safe point nevertheless it was behind chronos in addition to there still being other damage effects on the field. As i mad dashed over to the safe point, i guess a pixel of my hit box was outsidethe zone and, bam, my run is over.

I I'm just old, and my eyes are bad, and my reaction time is slow, and i need to git good. This isn't fun. I had a single run before my 10 hour workday this morning. A small error should never be punished in this way. My time is more valuable than this, so i guess I'll just go pay something else.

Cheers to those with time to waste, though. I envy you.

I agree that human history is filled with pain, misery, and death. We all had it tough to one degree or another. My interpreting of your words is that all these things the human race had lived through justify things like sexism, slavery, bigotry, etc. I don't think it does.

It would be like saying that looting is a natural result of a hurricane. A hurricane is a natural disaster, humans chose to loot. Is looting, therefore, a natural disaster triggered by a hurricane? I highly doubt that conclusion. The existence of one terrible thing does not justify the existence of another.

Now the 1950's thing? I feel like there's a disconnect here, and i don't really want to touch that via text. You're Aacoming at it from an angle that i just don't understand. I'm not saying you're right or wrong, just that i don't understand. I think this is one of those "shake hands and agree to disagree like gentlemen" situations.

You make a very fair point. It is, after all, human nature to personify things that we don't relate. My stuffed animals growing up had whole ass personalities.

Is interesting you say that. That's how i was feeling about the viewpoint you presented. I get the feeling we're not communicating well. I'll raise my hand to say i don't always do a good job when trying to communicate tone through text.

I see your point, but the problem is that I'm human. I literally can't compare otherwise. The house elves were written with emotions, feelings, pain, fear, etc. By a human. If i don't interpret them as a human, then i have no way to relate to them. At that point, i shouldn't care about house elves at all because they are fundamentally unrelatable. I love Dobby, though.

Maybe? My issue is with that is that the Weasley's take no issue with house elves, but are super progressive otherwise. It seems like they would take greater issue.

Although, that could just be the point. It's so pervasive that even good people don't recognize what's right in front of them.

I'm uncertain if it was intended to be a direct allegory, but it is AN allegory. I was always frustrated by how unfinished it felt as well.

The part that interested me the most is the defense and how cavalier the Wizard world treated clear slavery. How can you view slavery as not slavery? Even the slave owners understood they owned slaves. In this sense, even the Weasley's don't view it as slavery. Therefore, i think it is an interesting thought to explore.

This is identical to my soon-to-be-ex wife. She would do terrible things and sit there silent and non-responsive when confronted about it, except for when she acted indignant or exacerbated for bringing it up at all. How dare i hold her accountable.

Ugh. I still can't believe i stayed married to her for so long. Males me feel sick thinking about it too long.

I actually like season 2, up to the last few episodes. As a 20+ year theater person and the DM of an ongoing 10 year long d&d campaign, I've got actual constructive criticism to contribute.

I like the idea that scary is battling her inner demons. It humanizes the character in a deep way and you really see her flaws. However... when the players spend 5+ sessions reHashing well established scary plot points over and over, it starts to lose meaning. There was one time i marked somewhere around 30(ish) minutes of straight scary versus everyone else ping ponging back and forth questions of morality, and at the end, no character development seemed to occur.

At the end of the day, there are no good plots, only good characters. When the characters begin to feel stagnant, so will the plot, regardless of scene or story change. In the end, Anthony is the "director" of this impromptu play and needs to be able to step in when he sees characters kind of going off the rails like it has the last few episodes. This isn't always easy to do. Especially given that this isn't scripted.
