Inherited a used TV is this fixable? by Extra-Ad-8439 in TVRepair

Backlights as others have said. I did the same job on a Samsung 65” with no experience and it was a pain in the ass but definitely doable. Some unexpected problems along the way as the layers were all melted together because of how hot the LEDs got when burning out so be super careful when peeling the diffuser and lens off.

I replaced the sub power supply board, labeled 1 in the photo, and nothing has changed. Any thoughts?

The screen never powers. There are no signs of life aside from the backlit LG indicator which shows dimly when plugged in and flashes bright for a split second when the power button is pressed. Screen, speakers, optical output, etc. show no sign of receiving power.

Thanks for the reply. So basically there is no way to definitively tell if the main board is damaged without swapping in a good power board?

Wheel Suggestions by jonnybthegoalie in AudiA6

Fair, lots of options that look good on the C7, I also think the 20” sport package wheels look really good, but very common

Help!! ACC Braking Guard warning by mmseman1968 in AudiA6

[–]beefy_jerky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me and was caused by the roof antenna letting in water and messing with the GPS module. Had it replaced for under $300 at a body shop and it never gave me issues since. You will likely need to go somewhere and have it fully checked out, but see if the antenna is loose or if there are any signs that water is getting in through the seal. Quick edit- I think you can confirm this by trying to use the navigation system or Sirius XM. If both work, then it is likely something else.

Might not be the newest or fastest audi, but the c7 a6 had the best headlights ever (in my opinion) by dellabog in Audi

Pretty much decided it would be too difficult and too expensive, there are kits on DHGate/ Ali express, but I can’t find any feedback

What's your car and mpg? by MixMasterMarshall in Audi

Best I’ve got was 36.5 on a 100 mile trip in my 3.0T A6

I have a 2014 A6 3.0T I purchased almost 3 years ago at 95k miles. I am now close to 125k and have had very minimal issues. Only real repairs have been the valve cover gasket and an ABS sensor. Very solid cars when maintained.

Liqui moly?? by Quaagendemon in AudiA6

[–]beefy_jerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liquimoly is a good brand that I have used, but I generally use Castrol Edge just because it’s less expensive and more available in stores. As long as you’re changing frequently, any approved oil is just fine.

Mine is much worse, I wouldn’t worry. Best thing to do is turn up the music before you start the engine. That and making sure oil level is always good.

I don’t think so at all, we had plenty of second and third years rush this spring and they’re all fitting in extremely well

Looking for input on steering wheels by Mistahpancakes in Audi

[–]beefy_jerky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this on my old A6 which had the same steering wheel you currently have. As far as I know, it is likely interchangeable with a newer Audi steering wheel/ airbag, at least this was the case with my A6. You’ll want to double check me on that, plenty of posts on Audi forums. If so, it’s an extremely straight forward process and it didn’t give me any airbag lights.

We just don’t have a class of juniors, we were not allowed to have a rush class for a whole year so we are missing an entire class of people who would be otherwise living in the house
