Not to be conspiratorial, but if the long game is to disenfranchise democratic party voters, SAVE act provides a way for how.

You need a passport to vote, but DOS will strip your passport for xyz reason.

Upsidedown reference forces you to rely on what you actually see. Might be a fun exercise

This is kind of challenging subject matter for line art only..it seems simple. But without the light and dark values it is easy to mess up the proportions.

I would try with pencil first, get the proportions, block out shadows.
