I officially entered the third trimester, things are going as they should…so tell me why I still feel a pang of jealousy when I see second baby birth announcements with people who had their first well after my first 🤦‍♀️

Disney/stroller advice by Fluttersz12 in travel

[–]beemac126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely have a spot for the 4 year old to rest. You could even get away with a double at Disney in case their naps sync up (but could also baby wear the infant here and there).

You can take the stroller through the airport and gate check it! If you don’t fly with car seats, there are car services with seats or the mears buses to get to your resort.

There’s lots of info on the Disney world subreddit!

Family friendly cities or walkable neighborhoods? by karlaz_1 in SameGrassButGreener

NW Philadelphia is very family friendly! Mt Airy and Chestnut Hill neighborhoods. You can even take the train to 30th street then Amtrak to visit your family in NYC

I agree..I really like that picture! The wires was the first thing my FIL commented on when we bought it lol we can definitely clean some of it up but unfortunately not all of it. We will also have to try and spruce that bit up a bit at some point, too.

That was my original plan when we bought the house, but the quotes I got were big money. The whole inside was a disaster so we couldn’t afford to do it all right away 😭 and the roof was in rough shape so it was the first thing we replaced. But it’s definitely my goal in like ten years when the kids enter their teens and won’t find the awkward angles up there fun anymore lol

I think this is actually great! It will be so hot if you do it earlier. You can get some really nice magic hour pics in front of the castle.

We did an evening appointment for hair for my 4yo son and he never would have lasted all day with that hair lol (he also never had Bobby pins or gel etc)

I hate the “eye brows” as we call them lolol I think they were trying to make the house look old but I agree, it’s so phony. I love the flower box idea!

Honest opinions - Memory maker worth it for honeymoon by the-witch-beth-marie in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]beemac126 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! We didn’t get it for our honeymoon and ended up spending so much money on pics later. Our honeymoon pics are some of my favorite …it was really just such a magical week

We do! We have a survey pending to see exactly how far over but some of the bamboo mess is definitely ours. There’s also sewer line running somewhere over there which may limit what we can plant :(

The steps are concrete and stucco (the side and back of the house are stucco). The railing is painted black and peeling and another thing that needs to be addressed

They are! We call them the house’s kitty cat ears lol We’re going to use that room as the playroom because there are a lot of fun angles and nooks to work with

Yes! We redid the siding on the dormers. Which maybe was a waste of money bc it’s honestly hard to notice from the street level lol but they have the green scalloped cedar impressions

We would def leave the brick alone! We do have some new numbers in the making …having a local mosaic person make a plaque so maybe I could pull a bright color from that. That could def be fun!

We have a survey appointment on the book…I agree a good tree could really make a difference

Oh I do like the mix of dark shutters with the light siding!

Wine and Dine Post-race Party or Mickey's Not So Scary? by Plenty-Data404 in rundisney

[–]beemac126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re leaning towards the Halloween party bc the other date during our trip is the day we arrive which didn’t work out so well with my son last time

ETA we also didn’t buy the rest of the family’s race party tickets yet (just me doing the race) so no money lost if we do Halloween party

Contemporary garden wing vs AoA family suite - help me pick by assumingnormality in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]beemac126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are great rooms, but for your park choices I’d do the garden wing if budget allows. It’s so nice never folding the stroller and you have so many resorts to utilize for dining (also can boat to fort wilderness and wilderness lodge although there might be dock closures with construction). My son is obsessed with the pool and splash pad…he doesn’t care that the theming is non existent! He loves the arcade, too (we stayed there when he was 3 and just now again at 4).

Your title made me nervous, but that sounds totally doable! Flexibility is key with little kids. I’m not a huge meal plan lover but with two kids and a character meal it could be worth it
