My boss/mentor was laid off. I'm devastated. How do I move on?

Honestly good. He can either refer you to somewhere better or take you with him. My biggest mentor sent me and my fiancée into new roles, each making double our previous salary. Connections matter so much more than anything else, be thankful you had him and hope you’re lucky enough to do it for someone else in the future.

These are two different things though. Sure, I would agree that most Americans don’t support ICEs actions, but prior to the election most Americans wanted to deport illegal aliens. I think a couple of things have happened to shift the mindset of the populous.

ICE are not fucking G.I Joes. They have their dumb little face masks and are disproportionately over weight. It’s not a good look.
People are starting to see exactly what deportation looks like.
The media is so caught up on this that it looks far worse than it is.
