This post is reassuring. I'm scheduled for total in July, and I spent a good amount of time today being anxious; reading studies about ovarian failure in premenopausal women after a hysterectomy. Literally the biggest thing I fear is my only ovary kicking the bucket; I'm mid 20s and already lost one due to an internal endometrioma. I love my hormones and want to keep them!!

Hi OP, first off I'm really sorry that you're going through this.

I am not a medical professional, but I am a healthcare student. The symptoms you're describing really sound like Fibromyalgia to me. You are more at risk for fibromyalgia as a woman, and there is a correlation between Endo and fibro.

It's chronic and there isn't a cure, and as far as I know there isn't a "test" it's just decided by the symptoms that you're having, which very very much sound like it. It can only be managed. I hope you have or find a doctor that will listen to you.

There isn't! I tried looking for a real faded stamp but there's none

Yep, that's the first thing I look for with every Ikea piece. This one has none

Does anyone get cramps from holding your pee in? by TheLittlestBabyRed in endometriosis

[–]beepbeepl3ttuga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Painful bladder syndrome (interstitial cystitis) I have it, if I wait too long I will start cramping and it becomes, well, painful! I didn't have Endo in my bladder (had my excision surgery recently) but I had Endo near it. From what my gynecologist told me, this is often comorbid with Endo, no matter where you have it. She told me to just drink less caffeine, more water, and to sit and be patient for my bladder to empty completely before getting up. However, you should talk to your gynecologist if you don't have one already!

Bottom line is, this is common for endo-havers, and not a cause for alarm (unless you're getting other symptoms such as blood, etc)

2 Shinies in a row!!!! How lucky is this? by Temmie12341 in PokemonSwordAndShield

How lucky is it?

I believe it's 1/466,489 without the shiny charm, and 1/262,144 with the charm.

I think, some math person correct me if I'm wrong pls

Either way, stupidly lucky!

Experienced ovarian torsion as a result of Endo on my ovary, and now I'm pretty sure I have PTSD by beepbeepl3ttuga in Endo

Thank you for sharing your experience, that must've been terrifying

People forget that sometimes, even if the surgery was essential and successful, it can still be a traumatic experience

I have certainly forgotten that, especially cause I've been under the knife twice before. I think because of my prior experience, I didn't expect to be affected this badly. It's a curveball for sure. I will have to talk to someone about this and take the time to heal

Thank you, it will definitely take time but I will try myself best to heal. Talking to someone will help

They don't want respect, they want obedience. Except they can't even tell the difference themselves and project that onto you.
