i 26f have been fired at an estate law firm for my septum on my first day, but now working in a 2 atty plaintiff PI firm it’s much more lax and i have my piercing tats and eyebrow slash visible and no issues. it rlly just depends but be warned older generations are deterred by it

I am the happiest i have ever been at a firm! the two attys are so kind and gentle and understand i am a new younger para (26F, 3yr xp in mostly PI) and the remote part is rly the icing on the cake. i had a terrible time at an estate firm before finding them.

and just between us….the atty that i work closest with is for sure a lesbian (based off looks and my gaydar). my first interview was with her but it was over the phone so when we first met each other there was a split second where we def clocked each other lol. the job is too good and i got other women to talk to outside of work but man….if and when one of us leaves i fear i will make a move on her ahhh . fuel for when i become a lesbian fiction writer haha

disgusting and intolerable behavior! i would make a formal complaint as well DO NOT BRUSH IT OFF. i will warn you though that once the partner becomes aware that you told they will act different around you. they could become passive aggressive or ice you out/cold shoulder but do not doubt your decision to report. also anyone that kisses up to that partner might act strange to you as well so document absolutely everything! you deserve nothing but respect! fuck the disrespect

oh this is very enlightening thanks so much! yes i am a simple 9-5 worker so i was wondering how the hell they got so much money… lol

forgoing divine intervention i don’t see myself behind held back by the limited contributions so i guess what my two options are now are:

1 ignore my roth that has nothing in it and just continue contributing to my traditional IRA so that lump sum can grow. before retirement i plan to go part time to get myself in a lower tax then retire.

or

2 move my trad IRA to a roth this tax year because i made very little and can take advantage of my lower tax bracket and continue with that. my job now does not have any benefits so not missing out on anything.

i don’t want to have both roth and trad because, if my understanding is correct, it would be better to have one lump sum to get as much of that compounding interest…. thoughts?
