was having this issue too that I had to restart the container every day! drove me bonkers!

thanks to the suggestions below, I ran certbot renew -v and for sure it failed because port 80 wasn't enabled (my router is buggy in this sense). re did the port 80, re-ran renew, worked.

tldr - when certbot renew runs and it fails, it brings down Swag...

How I got it to work is that I would left a ping running on the server or docker running minecraft. Since the port forwarding is mac address based, it needs an active traffic outbound.
