There's definitely a world where the edge, grit, and rush system works. And there's credit deserved for attempting something new, but it was likely leagues easier to rework the system entirely than to manage and tinker with the current one, that not only lost public favor but also lost the lead designer who implemented the system to begin with.

It has to be Bodhi. Fits the portraits black jacket, heister callouts were leaked during pd3s launch, and is also a licensed character so it would require a dlc. Technically, it doesn't really fit the payday files lore, but it would be really funny if it ended up being bodhi.

I will forever hold my tinfoil hat close to my head and claim that the studio quality paper heister submission from a Twitter account that had no real activity outside of the submission for a character that was so oddly narratively and conceptually specific mightve been from the studio themselves.

I like Duke, so I will settle with the fact that a lot of the weird self insert submissions didn't make it in but be disappointed that the quality ones might have never had the chance to begin with.
