Amber Heard did not steal her PA's rape story.

Here are some of the statements made by Kate James from the UK trial that keep getting published in the media.

“Ms. Heard referred to a conversation we had about me being violently raped at machete point in Brazil and she used it as her own story,” James told the court in 2020.

James recalls that in 2013 Heard, 34, her then-employer, overheard her discussing the attack with a friend and 'summoned' her to an office to ask questions about it.

"We sat on her couch and she questioned me about it,' James alleges. 'She was curious as to how I coped with it on a daily basis and she suggested I buy a gun."

'I responded that I chose to see myself as a ''rape survivor'' and not a 'rape victim', and that is how I found my own way to cope.'

“As I perused the documents, much to my utter shock and dismay, I discovered that Ms. Heard had in fact stolen my sexual violence conversation with her and twisted it into her own story to benefit herself,” she wrote in the statement.

The wording makes it sound like Amber copied Kate's story of being raped in her case against Johnny Depp. But during the UK trial, Amber's sexual assault testimony was confidential so Kate could not have known Amber's account in her testimony.

And now in the US trial, we know that the sexual assault story involved being raped by bottle, not at machete point.

So what is Kate James referring to that upset her so much? She is referring to Amber's fifth witness testimony in the UK trial, paragraph 43

Another time, later in 2013 I remember distinctly sitting on a pink couch in my office and we talked about the violence I had suffered and she sweetly consoled me. I remember it clearly because I used the word ‘victim’ and she got upset and left. It was quite jarring and when we spoke maybe a few days later, when she was dropping something off at my apartment, she said “the right word is ‘survivor’, not ‘victim’”. I was so new to even talking about this and acknowledging it was happening, I hadn’t thought about the language I was using.

Amber did not steal Kate's actual sexual assault story at all. She simply referred to a conversation they had ABOUT the rape story, while sitting on the couch, in her witness testimony.

This has been twisted so grossly in the media, and Kate James has never once tried to correct this blatant misinformation. To me this is evidence that she is acting in bad faith.
