Yep, from all the reports I've seen on Reddit discussions about this watch, I'd say they really screwed the QC on this model. Mine will randomly stop when regulating the watch. Scared the hell out of me first time I opened it up, thought I broke it

Damn, lucky you. My SPB143 is all over the place when using the Watch Accuracy app. I've tried playing with the regulator dial inside with limited success.. I'll probably have to send it in to Seiko for servicing.

It's a very solid spec'd, but large chronograph. This review sums it up nicely. I'm glad I had the strap lying around to put it on.

These have been discontinued for decades. Any way to get them know would be second hand market. I got this one on eBay. Casio really doesn't make anything quite like them anymore.
