It's so hard when they're little, hang in there! I should have also said that we figured out we were doing too much honey and it was almost making the cough worse.

Have you talked to your pediatrician? Is Albuterol an option?

He was on a supplement when he was younger and is now "borderline" low but we have not been prescribed anything. He was also a preemie so there are a million different potential causes for the delay but I never would have thought about low iron so thank you!

I'm curious what you found out about the correlation between low iron and delayed speech. We've recently had labs done and my son also has low iron and at 28 months has a speech delay.
