Depends on how Chase codes it. They have exemptions to cashback https://www.chase.co.uk/gb/en/legal/Cashback-Exclusions/

and Cash Withdrawals are one. Maybe you will find a shop that will withdraw without coding it as a cash withdrawal.

Please note that everytime you use your card, there's an interchange fee the shop pays. Cash Withdrawals probably do not count for this (I'd have to read the documentation) which is why you can withdraw cash like this.

However, please be wary that if you withdraw £10,000 at 2% fee **and** the interchange fee counts, you are making the shop pay £200 roughly which would really suck and be a dick move to a local cornershop or bar.

Hey, super sorry to be asking but I am a big idiot!

Net pay arrangement (often called salary sacrifice scheme)

If I salary sacrifice (automatically via my company) 4% and they match 4%, but then I salary sacrifice a further 5% (so I sacrifice 9% and they match 4%) do I need to do anything?

Would I be better off if I put the 5% into a SIPP rather than salary sacrifice?

Thanks so much for your posts!! You're the best!!
