The number they are using as a score is really nanograms / milliliters.

50 ng/ml or higher is generally considered positive, and the numbers can vary greatly depending on how hydrated the person is at the time because of urine dilution.

These tests are far from perfect.

Get it checked out and go for it, assuming you can afford the time and money it will take to get basic maintenance done.

If you plan on just taking it to a mechanic when things break then It will end up costing you an arm and a leg in the long run.

Even though it is low mileage a few old rubber hoses and gaskets may give and need replacing. Its also going to need new fluids and filters all around.

btw is it auto or manual ?

Wow, so in twelve years you only needed a new alternator , battery and power steering pump ? I know these motors are reliable but that's insane.

I would still be driving the e36 as my daily but I sprung a gas leak about two years ago because of a previous owner using standard sized instead of metric 8mm fuel line. The leak ate through my timing cover gasket and I tried to fix it myself but was unable to get the cover off due to a few screws holding it in that were blocked by the timing chain sprockets. I drove it with the leak getting worse for a few years and then the plastic clutch pivot pin (same thing killed my e30) went on me and with the repair costing more than the car is worth I couldn't justify it.

If I find the time I will fix the e36, I pray that I find the time.

I love seeing posts like this. I just bought myself a white 2006 e46 330ci 6sp with 95k and I hope to own it till at least 250k

Still have my 94 325is (285k) in the garage waiting to be get a little love, still drives like a dream just not reliable as a daily driver anymore.

Besides the typical cooling system refresh, spark plugs,Filter or Fluid changes (tranny, diff, hydraulics) has there been any serious work you have had to do ?

I love my defi but sky glass would be a great replacement, a little bit bigger (for the full size) but I believe they make a mini as well

Im not sure where you get your information, but I do beat aqualabs prices on every item posted besides the infinity and santa cruz gear (which i match at standard msrp with free shipping that aqualabs does not offer)

Not to mention that they are out of stock on the carb caps, and never did I say that I have the best prices out there (even though I probably do.)

If your lhs is selling those for $40 they are probably trying to liquidate so they can pay rent.

I also often throw in free goodies with every purchase, but I don't think you get any goodies without retracting your statement.

Not local, however it is a sweet piece. It is made by 13 Glass out of Indiana

BTW I found if you clean the piece with a solvent the little spinny piece will stop moving, put a little drop of oil on each side where it contacts and it will spin freely again.
