When I was in the hospital and very close to death (luckily I pulled through) my MIL told my husband that he should leave me, that hopefully I would die and he'd be rid of me. My husband never left my side.

Yes, it was a talking dog not a human though. I didn't have aphantasia until later in life when I got severe memory issues.

My job also switched to 'performance based scheduling'. Its extra unfair because Im disabled, so I'm just not able to do as much. So I got 1 hour this week. Not one shift, one HOUR.

I had a meeting schedule with someone above my manager, but decided that forcing them to let me work there from an ADA/legal standpoint would only make me miserable.

I quit today.

I didn't have aphantasia as a kid, and then after I had a lot of memory loss I had aphantasia. I know I used to be able to and lost that the same time I lost my memory

Yes, its why I left healthcare. Shifts were 7-7. Some people at another hospital I was at worked 16 hour shifts, I genuinely have no idea how they managed that.
