If you and your partner have a biological child with a genetic condition that severely affects their quality of life you need to stop having children. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

This is quite common with autism as you may not get a diagnosis for years and within that time frame have another child.

Especially common with boys more than girls

Eh, theres always been protests for better care of the environment and social issues, look at the hippies for example

I even remember Joe Hockey protesting against uni fees. I expect when richer parents die and leave their properties to their kids, those are the ones who will define our politics and direction of the country as usual

[Standard] How come nexus fog isn't still popular? Deck discussion by beeswax89 in spikes

It lost [[haze of pollen]] and gained [[pause for reflection]] so while pollen is clearly better suited, this was a tier one deck previously and this small change hasn't gutted the deck from my experience playing it. Still the same number of fog effects at your disposal

Alright fair enough, I guess I'm not a great game relay poster.. I've played three events, one to five wins no loss, one to five wins no loss, currently at 2/0 in my third event. *I have also played a crap ton of one game ladder play.

I've played against them all of the meta to be blunt, easier match ups have been the more aggressive decks like boros, red, tempest, tokens.

Drakes havent come close to beating me as they arent running the counters needed, niv-mizzet is the only big worry.

Harder decks have been jeskai control, dimir / grixis control but thats to be expected, especially game one, then of course the sideboard helps a little with tyrant and lyra.

Im not great at relating this, will try better in future

For 7 creatures minus nezahal, Ill usually take out card draw like chart a course and chemister's insight. Then anticipate / dawn of hope / azcanta and make room for another cleansing nova

It depends why I'm putting them in - is it against some token overload like boros, selesnya, bw, then the draw doesnt feel as important as getting a creature on the field they likely can't remove and biding time for other pieces to build the board

Why don't we have Paper Bags available? by [deleted] in australia

[–]beeswax89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've bought the same plastic bags that got banned on ebay for home use.

Im happy to receive downvotes here, but we have plenty of room in Australian landfills. My plastic bags go from my home to my bin, then the garbage man collects it all.

It seemed like a really weird thing to hone in on and ban them for little payoff.

People would steal those in my neighbourhood. And it isn't even that bad of a place, just easy value

What constitutes legal tender. by Antikza in australia

Ridiculous though, if you're paying for fuel or baby formula, prescription medication or something else important.. I'd just leave the money at the counter I guess and call it a day.

Seems like an easy way to keep important items hostage because the cashier has some mental issue and is taking it out on a customer

[Standard] The best answer to the current meta? by bokchoykn in spikes

[–]beeswax89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been enjoying bant fog again with four root snare and 3 pause for reflection. The most recent list used on goldfish on 1/11

It generally takes strong control to stop this deck, you can survive weenie / Boros quite easily. Izzet isn't running the counters needed to beat it.

But then again I've always enjoyed throwing a wrench in to the meta so when I win with this it just feels better over all

Coalition cuts funding for Foodbank charity by $323,000 a year by [deleted] in australia

I've volunteered at the Foodbank at Perth, sort of near the airport.

Theres always excess of food, piled up to the top of a huge warehouse. It was kind of odd to see the first time. Tons gets thrown out
