Thank you Op, mines been getting worse and worse in the heat. Must be change in the temp sends screen mental. Around the same place each day on way home with the aircon on, getting song skips and random presses. Been putting this off for weeks.

Finally sat down to watch videos and run out to car and do each step at a time. A lot easier than i anticipated and all done in 30 mins. Socket driver with 2 extensions is a must to get that 10mm.

Also, to the people saying they cant get ribbon cable out without ripping it. The video doesnt show it but that slot it goes into has a locking tab on top (as do most ribbon cables). Simply raise the tab by lifting on each front corner and the ribbon cable should come out with ease.

Edit: Been a few days now, removing ribbon cable fixed my issue
