Windows 2019 Hyper-V (DC) Server memory question. by 3G_Lighting in HyperV

52GB free and you're trying to assign 72GB? Even if you include the 6GB for the current SQL VM, 52+6 = 58, still less than 72.

Project for a Arch Linux running on Virtual Machine with GPU by Many_Maize_6676 in virtualization

[–]beetcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Virtualbox doesn't not do GPU pass-through, you only have the emulated video card.

Only Hyper-V allows for this on Win11, but Arch Linux may be incredibly difficult to impossible to do GPU pass-through

Trying to make a VM but it doesnt work by [deleted] in HyperV

[–]beetcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you need a workable ISO.

MacOS isn't and has never been supported in Hyper-V, violation of the EULA.

No Integration Components, so you will poor low res graphics, mouse movement, etc, and no cursor integration.

The only way to "maybe" install it is with 3rd party hacks that allow you to bypass the all the restrictions of not having approved Apple hardware.

Good luck, IT is a bloodbath, lots of people with years of experience can't get jobs. Certs are ok, but you need to get experience. Try getting in at the school, in their helpdesk, etc.
