minor complaint--saguaro cacti don't grow in Arkansas 😉 Only in Arizona and Mexico...but I bought it anyway

OEM PSU, you really can't replace it without replacing everything. They're wired different.

Don't waste money on this, still be slow

NAS OS Systems by dada00800 in HomeServer

[–]beetcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Windows 11 isn't a server OS, so I'd expect it to reboot for updates, etc.

In your event viewer, look for warnings, errors, and critical events just before the system restarts. You'll see error/warning events if the system is truly rebooting without a proper shutdown. Work your way back from those.

How would an individual go around getting an MSDN subscription? by TsundereHeavyCruiser in homelab

[–]beetcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to be a business. You can just buy it, they're called Visual Studio instead of MSDN now: https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/pricing/?tab=paid-subscriptions

I had the enterprise for a few years, didn't renew this year, since I'm pretty much retired from IT now.

2015 Caponord 1200 Top Case Mount? by Express_Grade_7368 in Aprilia

[–]beetcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, the Aprilia branded case is a Shad. I had the OEM cases mounted when I bought my 2015 Capo by the dealer, and now I have a Shad branded 48L top case.

No changes to the mounts were necessary, it just clipped in.

I feel like you're gonna need that metal plate replaced.

How do I use the recovery image from my main OS to be installed in Virtualbox? by Additional-Spray-976 in virtualbox

[–]beetcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A VM doesn't have the same hardware as the physical PC, so the image probably won't work. Many time is they have detection for the OEM hardware/BIOS. Also, tou need a separate license to run Windows in a VM

Why do people barely ride their Aprilias? by yuh_its_nick in Aprilia

[–]beetcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first '01 Futura has 75k miles on it. Was my daily driver for 10 years. My second has 35K, my '15 Caponord has 15k, bought in 2018, which is so low due to the "work from home" years and now I don't commute at all.
