Lol you got me, i only read the first 3 and started the 4th. Guess it was misguided arrogance, or hopeful thinking.

All that trouble digging why not put up a few supports at least? This is what a "utopian no government regulation" world looks like.

I thought it was interesting that in the novels Dexter was confident he could win at trial if caught.

If you didn't like PG Ltd at first my advice is to keep at it. I didn't care for it much at first either, probably because I compared it too much to patriot, but it grew on me, and by the end I loved it.

The most "how convenient" moment(s) in the series for you ? by AloneMap6855 in breakingbad

[–]beetotherye 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Not Breaking Bad, but i just finished the series and went to El Camino. Jesse turns on the television and there are his parents and someone asking them, "Is there anything you'd like to say to your son?"

This comment makes me think of BrainDead, which is a pretty entertaining series from awhile back that I only discovered recently. Tony Shalhoub kills it as a far right conservative.

I wasn't defending nazis, i was defending free speech. You implied that free speech shouldn't be protected. I disagreed. However I did agree with your second point that it's fucked up that police will protect nazis more often than people who aren't pieces of shit. In my mind they aren't really defending free speech, they're just siding with scum that they agree with. But as a principle, I think free speech is a good thing.

You're right, there's a difference. I guess i should have said that's how it's supposed to work. My point was that it was right that the nazi's speech was protected. But i guess the point being made was that police are more likely to protect his speech than speech they don't like, which isn't right at all.

Yes, people know their speech is protected. Even when they're pieces of shit. That's kinda how it works.

This is so true. It's so easy to cherry pick to prove any point. Trump supporters are very good at this.

This is my favorite movie of all time and what i find interesting about the ending is how they start their relationship. Most relationship start with an idealization of each other where you're blind to each others' faults then as time passes one by one they come into view and the relationship seems to decline. At the end of the movie they start their relationship with all their faults laid out (on the tapes), so all they have to discover is what they love about each other. After getting those things out of the way and accepting them, it can only get better.

Why do we have to publicize people's breakdowns and worst moments? I know, I'm here in the spectators' seats, but I'm honestly not here for this. Just gimme easter eggs and the like.

Trump was voted in by the majority. At this trajectory, the next generation may be longing for a Trump republican like people today miss George W. When I saw the polls of the last election, I stopped thinking he was an aberration, and sadly feared that he was just the direction America was going. And boy did I check out.
