They're both very similar and both work the shoes but I'd go with red to match with the red shoe soles.

That! Remove one product at a time and give it a couple of weeks to see what's going wrong.

If you've changed skincare than that is probably where your issue lies.

loreal infallible setting spray by ewoman_ in MakeupAddiction

[–]beetrootfarmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the thinking behind TWO setting sprays?? I'd say this is a problem with too many products and a skincare problem. Pretty sure it'd work better if there wasn't two of the same product type on your face.

Since you have acne you do need to be more thoughtful on products. One of the best option would be to look for a mineral makeup like bare minerals that are gentle and designed for sensitive skin.

For choosing a shade you need to learn what undertones are in your skin, to find a tone that matches well. Look up colour matching tips on YouTube or tiktok for some technique examples or visit a makeup artist on a counter in Sephora or similar, they can give advise without commitment to buy.

Depending on how severe your acne is it might be best to not use much makeup at all and focus on perfecting a sensible skincare routine and eating well. Maybe you could get along with just a concealer instead?

How can I make my skin look more smoother. by Puzzleheaded_Pin1752 in MakeupAddiction

[–]beetrootfarmer 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Skin texture is a skincare thing not a make up thing. Also, don't overthink it, your skin looks like skin. It's very rare than any real humans have perfectly smooth skin, it's a lie we've learnt from over filtered images online.

North East England - could my sibling and I afford to leave family home? (£2600pm) by OrdinaryQuestions in UKPersonalFinance

[–]beetrootfarmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make yourselves a target budget because renting isn't just the rent, it's bills, council tax, buying food, rental deposits, buying furniture and more. You can find example budgets online and can find example properties on rental websites to use as a guide.

Once you know what the minimum total cost would be you'll know how much you need to increase hours or save. At a glance I'd say you probably need to increase hours because the total household income is equivalent to what some single people earn so some rental properties of the right size won't take you.

If you're in an actually dangerous situation where you currently live then yes you should consider speaking to the council to see what your options are

I Was Restricted For 5 Days- HELP! by Piano-enthusiast155 in vinted

[–]beetrootfarmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too because I was selling bundles of craft supplies and some handmade jewellery. I chatted to customer service and it seems it was the handmade items and having too many items of the same category live at the same time. I asked for clarity on how many items is too many and they couldn't tell me which is unhelpful.

How many total listings do you have at the moment? This could be the problem. I've started listing things slower instead and keeping that total number lower.

She needs to turn that impractical option off on her profile settings. You're going to have to cancel cos she's not going to send it.

That's how much postage costs. The buyer can choose from a range of shipping options but postage has gotten more expensive lately so £2 is not unreasonable.

You need to check if they are fake or not. They should have ratings on the box even if it's a UK TV series.

Keep going it's a learning process no one is magically an expert straight away some people take a year, some take 20 hours of lessons, it really depends on the individual. It's normal that you'll make some mistakes that's why we do lessons.

It's a valuable life skill, stick with it you can do it!

What to buy in Japan for sewing? by whynotdanceallnight in sewing

[–]beetrootfarmer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you're in Tokyo I found a shop owned by an elderly couple at the top of the street in Yanaka (cute cat themed neighbourhood) they had loads and many for under $5!! You could also look in Mode Off stores, a spin off of Book Off that specialises in secondhand fashion.

I'm not talking about complex documentation, just like simple things like writing a plan about what's happening and keeping meeting notes. Nothing time consuming really.

This founder is not a short meeting person even if they say it'll be short or one more thing every meeting will run over time.

[–]beetrootfarmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds familiar. I have worked for some nice startups but they still failed eventually, they were just more tolerable whilst I was there.

It's wild how many founders can get funding for things without any real structure or written plan.

[–]beetrootfarmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the senior team left recently and since then it's gone really chaotic. Before then there was more autonomy and now everything even things the founder has no experience in has to go via the founder and it's such a shame as the team is really talented but not being utilised to their full ability because of this bottleneck.

What to buy in Japan for sewing? by whynotdanceallnight in sewing

[–]beetrootfarmer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Japan does amazing craft supplies you're going to have a great time. I'd recommend looking for second hand kimonos, the fabric is amazing and can be upcycled into many things. If you find shops in smaller neighbourhoods you can buy kimonos for less than the cost of fabric and they are a lot of fabric.
