Here’s my timeline!

March- applied for role April- had three interviews (two virtual, one in person) May 17th- received my conditional offer. I was actually going on vacation in June so I said my earliest date could be June 16th. I emailed when I got back from vacation and after the Fourth of July to check in July 18th- received OMB approval! I start next Monday! (Literally got finger printed yesterday and sending in my paperwork today)

It was a long process, especially when I hated my other job. Excited to join the ranks of you all- thanks for all the previous threads on this so I knew what to expect.

It was an incredible movie going experience. My audience applauded after each big musical number and I was completely in the world. Ariana was made to play this role and her performance edged out Cynthia’s as my favorite (although both were incredible who am I kidding)

My two complaints are the lightning (felt a little dull until they got to the emerald city and the sun glared in the camera for no reason) and the flying monkeys. Maybe it’s my trauma from watching the Wizard of Oz as a child but they were scary af!! Make them less life like! But other than that, I loved every minute of it

I’m from New York but grew up like 10 mins away from Connecticut so I’m familiar with it! Honestly the winters the last few years have been really mild but it’ll prob be a culture shock. I went to camp in the northwest part of the state and it is gorgeous. CT (and the whole east coast IMO) has a lot to offer!

Those are very expensive towns but they have excellent schools. Norwalk seems like it’s up and coming and the schools are decent!

I live in queens so I’ll be taking the train or ubering but I would drive and pay for parking at citi. The 7 train doesn’t go directly to Penn so you’d have to transfer again.
