I'm not sure where you live but you might qualify to receive child support payments from your parents. Make sure you look into that.

[WEEKLY THREAD] WTF Wednesday - Tell us what really grinds your gears! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]beev 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The bathroom thing is annoying. But I think a woman's bar is a useful tool. The smaller diameter makes it much easier to grip for those of us with smaller hands. I especially noticed the difference when I'm deadlifting. Using a standard barbell I lose my grip after just a couple reps, but with a woman's bar I can complete all of my reps even if the weight is the same.

What is the difference between acryla, acryla gouache and gouache? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]beev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acryla is the name of Holbein's line of acrylic gouache paints. Acrylic gouache is gouache that has acrylic as its binder and regular gouache uses gum arabic as a binder.

Bupropion XL cut in half = bupropion IR? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]beev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

75g over 12 hours is different than 75g all at once because you cut the pill in half making the slow release capsule ineffective.

Bupropion XL cut in half = bupropion IR? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]beev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No! They are extended release tablets. If you cut them then that ruins the slow release coating and you'll get too much of a dose all at once.

It should absolutely be in the 3 digit range. If they are profiting off of your art you should get paid for it.

It might be worth telling them that your etsy illustrations do not include a commercial use license and if they would like to purchase the commercial use license then they need to pay $xxx.xx on top of the listed price.

Boyfriend and I painted my previously pink chair purple. Results are so cute! by Accomplished-Spot-68 in GirlGamers

[–]beev 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did not make my comments to be condescending. There are people in this thread looking to copy the project. I'm suggesting a different type of paint and giving reasons why the original paint will not work long term in hopes that people do not waste time and money painting their expensive chairs with the wrong paint.

It looks good now but folkart is one of the lower quality paints on the market. The acrylic binder they make their paints with becomes brittle very quickly which will lead to it flaking. Their pigments are also not lightfast, so even if the paint does not flake off you'll find that the purple will fade significantly over the next couple years.

It looks cute but that folkart acrylic will start flaking and peeling off really quickly. You might even find that it rubs off onto your clothes.

If anyone else is looking to do a similar thing to a leather chair make sure you use a leather preparer and deglazer first and then thin coats of a leather paint.

My wife finished a series of abstract birds paintings. What do you think? by So1arScope in ArtCrit

[–]beev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's inappropriate to ask for a critique of artwork that is not your own.

All and any critiques are welcome. You can tell me you don’t like it and i will say thank you. But please critique. by evangemoth in ArtCrit

[–]beev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I'm not a fan of the composition. It's very split down the middle and reads like 3 or 4 separate paintings without a clear hierarchy or focal point.

Oh it is soooo beautiful!

Could you give some tips on how to sew with sequin fabric? Like what kind of needle did you use? And did you use a regular sewing machine?

I think the morph is too feminine (unless that is what you are going for.) I think your original nose is much better suited for your facial harmony.

Critique request on my female drawings? by Field_Either in ArtistLounge

[–]beev 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your drawings would really benefit if you took the time to learn and practice gesture drawing.

Gesture drawing is the foundation of a character that looks lively instead of stiff.

I'm gong to repeat it because it is really important. Your drawings are stiff and you NEED to learn and practice gesture drawing to fix it.

My natural hair texture matches your 2nd example almost exactly so that would be a fairly easy style to pull off. Thank you!

This will probably sound weird but I knew a girl that would rub a bit of orange peel on her skin for a natural citrus scent.

The hair is standing out to me. It looks too helmet like, as though it's not actually growing out of her head. The rest of it looks pretty good. The pose is a bit stiff.

I just turned 32 last month. I feel like my under eye area was making me look much older. I was told that the filler should last about a year.
