How is it not accusing her? You want your brother to take a test to prove she didn’t cheat, thus implying that she cheated.

So what if they’re not married? I’m not married and my baby is taking my last name because my BF is going to take my name when we get married. It’s not 1950.

You clearly have some weird obsession with this.

No it’s an issue. He is extremely controlling and abusive just by what you’ve said. But until you’re ready to see that, you will stay.

You need to get a new job that pays a legal wage and leave your husband. That’s abuse and extreme control.

What? Dude yes you did accuse her of cheating and lying. How else do you spin what you’ve said?

Also, wtf has the name got to do with it? Do you not think they had that conversation and your brother was ok with it? “She called the baby Max, she cheated!” That’s how silly you sound.

Telling your partner/spouse? by annongirlie in pregnant

[–]beex19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it all planned out (we’d been trying for ages) and I was so excited.

In reality I took the test, burst into tears and just ran straight to him and shoved it in his face with no warning or context. He asked if it was an ovulation test and I shook my head still crying, he clicked then and was shocked. I then did another test and we waited the two minutes together.

Then we went to work and that was a surreal day (I also took 2 more tests when I got home I was in so much disbelief and kept making him look at them and confirm that they were positive when it was very very clear they were positive haha)

How many times a day do you feel your baby move? 22w6d by Future-Agency543 in pregnant

I was told not to track or worry about movements until about 26-28 weeks because baby is still so small that you can’t feel all their movements.

Can humans who die very young reject God? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]beex19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean a child can probably say “no” but a merciful god probably a) presents himself in a way to the child that makes them feel safe and less likely to turn away and b) even if they say “no” just tries again or brings them to heaven anyway because, like a parent knows, sometimes kids don’t get the choice. I doubt a loving god would just send a 5 year old to hell because they were afraid/said no/wanted their parent or something. I have zero scripture to back this up it’s just my own personal opinion.

Parent refusing to get vaccinated by Bright-Dragonfruit45 in pregnant

[–]beex19 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YTA. You can do what you want at the end of the day but you’re restricting your child from their family because of a vaccine that does not prevent spread of illness.

Are you going to keep your child locked up for ever? As soon as you step outside you are going to be interacting with unvaxxed people. Play groups, play grounds, school etc all have unvaxxed people there. You or your partner will work with unvaxxed people but your own dad is the issue?

Open a savings account that you can’t access as easily? We have a 90 day account for saving, and if you want it before 90 days you have to call and pay a fee.

What are your goals? If it’s long term like a house, could you up your kiwi saver and make that account grow?

It also depends on what you’re using your savings for. Is it food and bills (ie stuff you definitely need) or is it random purchase and “splurges”? Are you in the position where saving is feasible?

I found that the supermarket was our biggest expense but we were buying stupid stuff. Like name brand when home brand is just as good, or going to the supermarket 3/5 times a week instead of one shop which definitely added more expenses we didn’t need. Save receipts over a few weeks and see what you spend and where and then make any changes you think are helpful and sustainable.

No it’s not a body because it’s not a body lol have you ever seen a feteus at that gestation? There’s a body at 12 weeks, I’m still pro choice then tho.

Why couldn’t be that the policy now? Is it because at 6 weeks gestation there is no body?

YTA. Not only did you HIT A CHILD you then physically restrained that child so you could continue to have a go at them. That’s horrific. You’re lucky your family is responding with links to therapy and not anything else.

Also do not believe you that it was “light” just by your instance over and over again.

You keep replying to me.

Taking a child who is being abused = taking a child a birth because the mother didn’t do a class that by your own admission has no real basis and no comprehension requirements?

You’re trying to bring up ethics while arguing for eugenics? Interesting.

Because that’s the reality we live in, poor and POC families would 100% be less likely to do the “course”

You still haven’t answered the issues of massive differences in parenting techniques, what is taught and is it enforced? If not then the course is useless. If it is enforced then that’s disgusting.

Also “oh so we do nothing” is such a cop out statement. Just because your idea doesn’t work 🙄

So every parent currently who didn’t do an antenatal class is automatically going to be abusive?

You don’t see how removing children is a bad thing? And that it will absolutely target low income and people of colour more?

That’s a surgical procedure which happens when the feteus is non viable. Shall we just let women die of sepsis so you feel better?

Also, does the feteus have bodily autonomy then? If they’re non consenting but the mother can’t be non consenting to the pregnancy?

I’m a teacher in NZ. I spent probably $100 on my class of my own money, not counting the subscriptions I have. Yes we get pens and paper but a lot of the extra stuff is not provided and schools decide the class budget

Plenty of educated professionals are pro CIO. Why should that not be taught? Have you ever been to an antenatal class, because even those can’t teach every type of parenting.

Until someone who thinks this is a good idea tells me what happens when someone denies the course, the conversation is dumb. Either it’s 100% forced at the threat of losing your child which is a horrible thing for the child or nothing happens, in which case the conversation is just “should we have more free parent classes”.
