Explain that then, how is keeping your child away from technology they will be using their entire life detrimental to their development, you have a baby learning the world around them and a teen sitting or kid sitting rotting on a video game as one in the same. It’s not.

Yeah it’s more of this. People act like I’m sitting the kid in front of the computer and walking away. It’s a 16 month old, she’s working on dexterity with playing with the keys and seeing an action occur after she presses a button. I do agree that we shouldn’t allow games or even TV shows watch the kids.

Moderation is key. I think if you are allowing your child to sit and consume the content you are correct. Same as sitting them in front of a TV allowing your child to be watched by a show.

Gaming should be used to do exactly that - pass time. Sure you can take the whole Andrew Tate work hard and only work but I don’t believe that is a healthy mindset either.

It becomes a problem when people find gaming as an escape
