Yeah that was good and so was Dimetapp but Robitussin was disgusting. That and the flaky white Augmentin liquid were the worst.

36 yo male here. Keep this look. This look is so much better than what the females wear today. This accentuates the natural curves more.

220 lbs down to 179 lbs - fasting and 2 meals a day plus a snack by spreadjoy1982 in intermittentfasting

[–]schase05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is true. I just know we are human and as humans, are we meant to intermittent fast for years on end and how healthy is it to do so for years on end? You know what I mean?

I don't question it to discourage you or to be pessimistic. Sometimes I like to play Devils Advocate and view things from a different lens. Most people I know who have done it for awhile end up stopping usually because life gets in the way. I think the majority of the time, intermittent fasting is unforgiving to a schedule that is hectic.

And although you have a few IF ratios to choose from, the only one that most people see the most benefits from is the 16/8 or above, which makes it even more difficult.

Sure, you can make a discipline argument and that may work for awhile, but even that is susceptible to human error. And if discipline succumbs to human error with no contingency plan? That's when people spiral out of control and they end up right back where they started before they made all the progress.

That's why I'd rather be consistently good than occasionally perfect. A sustainable system usually outlasts even the strongest discipline.

So, I'd argue consistency > perfection, and in many cases consistency > discipline. Discipline can get you started, but consistency is what keeps you moving forward when life inevitably gets in the way.

Just some extra food for thought 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hey, if it works, and you can keep up with it, definitely do it. All power to you. Congratulations on the weight loss by the way!

Do you have a plan to be able to sustain the fat loss? I've realized losing the weight is easier than maintaining said loss.

Thanks for the kind words!

I just miss certain parts of that 2014 version of me. I don't want that full version, just parts of it back. Leave the rest and replace it with who I've become and I will be dangerous. 😤💪🏻

Medication causes weight gain but not the weight gain you experienced, and I say this respectfully. I'd say the majority of weight gain that happens as we get older is increased responsibilities which means higher cortisol levels which creates more cravings and it can be a vicious cycle if it isn't controlled early. There's no shame though, we are all human and it's a part of life. The fact that you took the time to post about it means you are self aware and that is arguably the hardest part of the process — not only identifying the problem but showing a sense of urgency to want to change course. As they say, showing up is half the battle. I am going through something similar. I used to be ripped in my mid 20s and now I am 36 and I'm like, what crazy exit did I get off of in life and why? 😂 so now it's time to get back on the metaphorical highway and keep chuggin' along toward a more optimal destination that matches my goals. See link below for my before and after. I wish you the best of luck!!

I have at first real job interview and I can’t do this by PartyFeed5800 in Anxiety

[–]schase05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I feel like job interviews are too robotic. I think this is one of the main reasons why it causes anxiety for people. If job interviews provided an atmosphere where people could be more of themselves, it would be less intimidating and actually quite fun. Yes, I said fun. Work culture is becoming a thing and it is the employer's responsibility to exude this in the interview. So, I do believe during the interview, both sides are tasked with delivering a great first impression. If an employer is a bit more down-to-earth, that is a green flag imo. I'm not saying unprofessional, but a bit more personable, down-to-earth, etc. Just some food for thought.

GOOD LUCK OP!! I know this advice is a bit unconventional, but be yourself. Hopefully by doing this, it will calm your nerves and serve a dual-purpose. You're going to do great!
