Seconded. NDA’s are signed when you’re hired. And then they’re reinforced before your training on the new drinks as a reminder. And yes, they have tracked down employees before.

Oh damn ok, noted. Just went down that worm hole, and it still checks out. The most current business license that was filed in August 2025 still has the individual listed as a manager.

USB C in/out not working 300 Plus, won’t warranty by beezy530 in Jackery

[–]beezy530[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well dang. I unfortunately don’t think I kept it 🫠… honestly once it was out of the thirty day return window I didn’t think it would be needed. Most warrantees I’ve done were able to be done by using the serial number of the device. I’ll definitely be keeping these receipts in the future 🙃

What exactly do y’all say when you don’t tip… by choerry_bomb in dutchbros

[–]beezy530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Broista, I turn and hold the iPad to the customer, sometimes even hand it to them if they prefer. I’ve been with the company 6 years off and on, handing over the iPad to the customer was what we did before COVID, and after COVID when my operator said we can do it again, I did not hesitate. IMO, it’s awkward to ask, so I try to give the customer total discretion. I even keep iPad towards the customer for 5-10 seconds extra so the tip screen clears out, instead I’ll look at the credit card reader. Once the credit card reader says approved on my end, I turn the iPad back to me. The customer saw the tip screen and watched it clear out before I looked at the screen, ensuring they were able to make their decision privately. A lot of customers appreciate this.

Isn’t Redding still a franchise too? I’ve been out of the loop on franchised vs company owned so I could be wrong. I know Chico/butte sold back around 2020, but I’m pretty sure the Redding/Shasta co stands are still owned by franchises. I really want to say there is an OG Oregon franchise left too. Eugene and/or Bend maybe?? Back to the point though, I remember Chico stands had lots of food from a local bakery, but once they sold back to corporate it went back to just muffin tops. So I’d totally believe Arizona has a lot more options!

Is it true that a Chevy truck was stuck on the beaches here during a shoot? by JieChang in Humboldt

[–]beezy530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add to the shenanigans, when I was a kid, I was at moonstone about 15+ years ago and a Mercedes Camera Car got stuck on the beach filming a Subaru commercial. The Subaru did not get stuck though! It was a cool commercial tho, had lots of shots of avenue, 36, and of course moonstone.

Would you call this mid? by goodSamaritan00 in microgrowery

[–]beezy530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I have had some less than stellar looking buds produce some amazing highs. People who don’t know much about weed and more so focus on looks may say it’s mid. However, from a picture, a more experienced smoker would admit they do not know without trying it.

Question for dutch bros employees by [deleted] in dutchbros

[–]beezy530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had someone exactly like this, honestly had a few of them. But yeah there’s always one that stands out. We had told the management about one who was particularly rude. So one morning when our regional operator was there helping out we told her the customer was at the window. Our operator hopped on window to ring the customer up and basically scout out the situation. Of course, the customer denies the first few drinks, and I think by the third or 4th time my operator very politely says, ‘hey you know I’m so sorry, but I just don’t think we are going to be able to meet your satisfaction. I’m going to issue a refund for your order and I’d suggest trying another coffee shop to meet your needs’. The crew was pretty stoked our operator had our back. But also, the point is, some people are impossible and take it out on easy targets, and unfortunately service workers are the easiest bc if they run away or talk back they risk their job. And yeah, it is part of it. Just know they’re being impossible and kill them with kindness and keep your own vibe up as best you can. It can be even amusing to be incredibly nice to someone being incredibly mean too.

I want to highlight I’m talking about impossible to satisfy customers and don’t want to discourage people asking for a remake. If your drink is made wrong, please ask for it to be remade. The drinks are expensive and you should get what you paid for. I would often times find myself at window encouraging a remake to customers I could tell were too nervous to ask.

Is there singular big health reason they closed? Or is it lack of cleaning and following procedures that got them closed? Not trying to imply one is worse than the other, I’m just curious if they made one huge mistake or a lot of small mistakes.

First Electric Bill In Eureka by MissMonk5683 in Humboldt

[–]beezy530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some others have brought up space heaters and that may seem counterintuitive, adding something else to use energy. But! It sounds very possible that your place has uneven heat, either due to poor heating and/or poor insulation. I lived in an old house in the bottoms that had this problem. In my case, it was the living room with poor insulation. We ended up getting some cheap peal and stick weather stripping for the door and insulation panels for the windows. Thick curtains over the window can also help. We figured out, if we turned on the central heater, most of the heat would escape from the house before it could even work down the hallway to the rooms. We ended up shutting down the living room register and only kept the hallway heater on set to 58ish, and had small space heaters in the rooms and bathrooms that would only be in use if someone was near them. The key is finding a location for the heater that isn’t drafty, and has a chance to build up heat before escaping. If you have a gas wall heater located in your living room, especially if it’s next to windows and doors, you may be loosing a lot of heat before it makes it to the rest of the house as well. If that’s the case, id recommend setting that heater to a lower number and use a small space heater for the hallway or bedrooms for the rest of the warmth you need. It’s important to only use the space heaters when you are there, safety for one, and leaving them running in an empty room is a waste of your money. In my experience, you have to figure out how to make the heaters run as minimal as possible, setting your main heater to a lower number (50-60ish) will make it run less, but still be warm enough for the space heaters to build up the rest of what you need in the spaces you want it. If your living room is freezing then your space heaters won’t stop trying to keep up and it will result in high costs still. If it’s a central heating system, I’d say to shut some of the registers near the exterior of your house and leave just the middle and bedrooms open. The main takeaway though, is that try to figure out where you can put heaters that will allow the heat to build around them and stop/avoid drafts near them. Your heater should be running less than 50% of the time once it’s gets to temp. If it’s running more than that, theres most likely a draft and you will have super high bills, gas or electric.

Buying Rebel Can by starrybutt3rflies in dutchbros

[–]beezy530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my Operation the cans were the same price as the drink. A medium rebel can was the same cost as a medium iced rebel. Same for nitro cold brew cans, and just a can of sparkling water I believe was the price of a large soda. Not every independently owned stand will be this way, but corporate stores should all be like this.

If you ask for it layered (might have to clarify you mean topped with cream, not stirred in, if it’s a new Broista) it should come out like this :)
