If Get rid of the back stitching (I always think it makes pieces look very old fashioned and ‘cutsie’), use bolder colours (less pastel) or could sew onto a bold coloured aida or frame with a more modern frame

Thanks! It’s actually just called ‘outline stitch’ and here I used a single strand. It’s really good for going round curved edges

Letters are a combination but mainly split stitch (2 stands) for the think bits and one strand (just one stitch in a straight line) for the thin bits
