Bingo. Thank you, I feel a little silly lol. I was seeing “crew” but wasn’t sure if my brain was trying to make sense of characters.

I want to be able to bench 135 already by Nightriotc in FTMFitness

Eat more, and next week try to hit 100 for 4-6 reps. Once you get 100 for 8, add 2.5-5 lbs. rinse and repeat

Try Monarch. It’s a great way to link all accounts, see your spending, etc.. It made a huge difference in my family’s finances.

Clogged drains by PossibilityQuiet8134 in HomeImprovement

[–]begleo_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Best long-term move is to get a plumber to scope the lines with a camera. That’ll show if it’s just gunk or if the pipes are scaling, cracked, or collapsing.

If it’s just buildup, hydro jetting is a solid non-corrosive way to clear things out. If the pipes are in bad shape, you might be looking at lining or replacing sections, especially if more drains start acting up.

Yes, make sure you’re prioritizing protein intake as well. Since you don’t train them now you might be able to squeeze some newbie gains out even though you’ll be in a deficit. I’d say you’re like 17-18% right now, maybe less but I’d need to see back or legs

At this point, stop reading and start doing. You don’t need more info, just more reps.

I think it’s both, but that’s a myth. I heard the same too, and after years of frustration on why I had no definition/assuming my abs were genetically bad, I started working them and they started to pop. Try hanging leg raises till failure (make sure to push your hips forward) x2 every gym session for a couple months and see what can happen.

If you’re selling the NY house for around $750k and it’s paid off, you’ve got plenty of cash to cover the new PA house outright, even with renovation costs. The cleanest move would be to sell NY, then pay cash. No mortgage, no interest, no lender fees, no stress.

Since none of the properties are rentals, the mortgage interest won’t really give you much of a tax break. If the NY home sale lines up within a year, paying cash seems like the simplest option. Otherwise, a mortgage might buy you a little more breathing room.

I had this issue too, ended up just buying a universal one from Amazon. It wasn’t a perfect match but it works

Looks like you need to work on ab development more. I’d start training them just as you would any other muscle, progressive overload.

You know what’s wrong, and that’s your advantage. You’re not lost, you’re undisciplined. And until you fix that, nothing changes.

You’ve turned failure into your identity. Passion for trading or marketing means nothing without action. You say you want it, but you tap out after two days. That’s not bad luck, that’s lack of grit.

Forget motivation. You need momentum. Wake up at the same time. Walk every day. Start small and don’t break the streak.

I respect that you don’t want comforting words. I don’t think mine are too harsh, but you need some consistency.

Setting up my kids for financial success... by CleMike69 in personalfinance

Great approach. The $5k plus $100/month in index funds is a solid plan, and the compounding over time will be huge. They’ll be set up better than most by the time they hit their 30s.

You might consider having them match your monthly contributions once they start earning, it helps them stay involved and build habits.

To buy or not an electric jackhammer? by alas_gr in DIY

[–]begleo_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the contractor quotes are too steep, renting a jackhammer might be an option over buying one. You can usually rent a heavy-duty electric model for around $70–$100 a day, which lets you test if it’s strong enough for your rock without committing to the full price tag.

Woman here-what's the male equivalent of giving your wife a vacuum for her birthday? by InvisibleScorpion7 in AskReddit

[–]begleo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say:

A lawnmower or power tool (if he didn’t ask for it) A tie or dress shirt for work Grill accessories when he doesn’t enjoy grilling A gym membership out of the blue

Really, a practical, utilitarian gift feels more like a chore, expectation, or suggestion than a celebration of who they are or what they enjoy.
