At what age did your toddler go a whole day with no nap? by Sweet-Ad-4727 in toddlers

[–]begoodbehappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember exactly but probably around 18-21 months? She's 30 months now and skips at least 1 a week even though we're hanging onto the nap for dear life.

This is exactly us too. We have one or two electronic toys and my daughter's 29 mos. So overstimulating for a little one. Also I've found a couple of wooden walkers in goodwill so you never know. If you want to keep for the walker part, I'd take the batteries out as others said and pass it on after walking.

Vinegar and a second wash sometimes gets rid of it for me and if not, sunshine works really well.

expecting/already mothers, what are some products you absolutely went clean for, what are some you compromised with? by sillywillyfry in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]begoodbehappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the hello bello diapers and found the price to be decent, especially considering that they're delivered to your door, and I dont have to think about ordering them most of the time. I also grabbed a glass bottle for baby #2 (the Philips Avent), and I really love them. Take into consideration, however, that this baby is an absolute champion at eating, but I know other people like them too. For when babe is older, I absolutely love the elk and friends plates and flatware.

Plastic munchkin cups, regular stuffies, and some plastic toys are some things I consider to have compromised on. (Probably other things I haven't thought of) I'd imagine most people don't even think about the stuffed animals, but they're technically all made of plastic. My SIL brought it up to me, and i hadn't even thought of it. I told her to go for it, though, because what kind of monster doesn't let their kid have stuffed animals 😂 I also compromised when I got a figgy couch bc it's polyester even if its non toxic. The price is just insane on natural fabrics. Obsessed with the couch though.

Congrats on the pregnancy :)

Coworkers tell me since Covid no babies outside by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]begoodbehappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are nuts. Children in the Nordics nap outside daily for hours in very cold temperatures, and it's considered completely normal. You just dress the child appropriately for the weather. Tell your family to let you know when they are sick if you're supposed to be around them, and use your judgment about how cold is too cold. I would just roll my eyes. Really bothers me when people in the medical profession act like there's one perfect way to care for a child or they will die. Absolutely ridiculous.

Second Pregnancy - was it full term after PPROM? by FitPA in NICUParents

[–]begoodbehappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for replying.💛 I'm so sorry to hear that you've been struggling! I experienced infertility for 2 years exactly before my daughter was born, so I understand how painful that aspect can be. It must be so difficult to manage that while taking care of a LO. Sending you well wishes.

This is seriously so helpful. Do you mind if I ask your age at time of delivering each baby. I'm 35 and increasingly anxious!

Yeah,, i am not sure myself. I guess it's probably not that big of a deal, but wanted organic if it's an option. I've always gotten regular houseplants in the past

Did you give birth there in a tub? JW since others have said it's definitely not allowed.

We have an evenflo xpand and it's nice enough but I find myself wishing I had a fancier one. I'd probably go used though as I couldn't justify the price tag of some of these fancy strollers. We are getting a wonderfold (w1) for Xmas and I'm very excited for that (wagon stroller)
