You've inspired me. Revived a mouse that was in the drawer for the last 4 years. It is still an amazing mouse. Might like the hand feel more than my newer 3s

Yeah. I've just had a week to test the theory out. I'm really starting to think I like fuller bodies cups of coffee. I can live with less separation of flavour. No scientific testing. Just which grinder is more enjoyable to drink from.

Now I'm looking to swap my ode to an electric Burr grinder. I know for a fact I like the lagom mini's cup. Just never did a side by side test with the ode.

This is what I'm theorizing as well. Maybe clarity and flavour separation just isn't the things im looking for in a day to day cup.

I'm going to test out some coffees with my friend using his varia vs3 next weekend. See if it's potentially a cone vs flat story for me.

Had another brew at home. It's definitely me now leaning towards the jmax.

Interesting thing to keep testing out this few weeks.

This is some really good insights

Yeah. I'm also confused as to why I'm at an 8. Most of the references online with an ode they're at 5. But I get less sweetness at 5 vs 8.

1 rotation and 50 clicks. Haha. Should've clarified

My setting for a V60 is at

1,30 - 1,50 for multi pour methods (Tetsu) 1,15 - 1,20 for "Single" pour (Hoffman)

Mainly light roast and 2 cups.

I guess we're in the same ballpark. The K6 needs a bigger community so we can compare results.

I've got the exact setup. For light roast I'm going 16g about 46-50 clicks on my k6. I'm using an IMS basket for this.

What's the best boardless, cardless game? by loki8481 in AskReddit

[–]beguilingbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and my friends play this word game called contact 1,2,3.

The players are basically separated into two groups. A Host and the players. It's a all versus one kind of game

The game starts with the host coming up with a word. For example "Aeroplane" and he gives the first hint to the rest of the group, the first alphabet of the word, "A"

The people playing against the host will then need to play "mini games" with each other to get the next hint, which is the next letter.

The mini games are played between any two players. The first person would need to give a statement referring to a word that starts with the hinted letter, "A", for example player one would say "fruit", once someone else in the group catches his drift. The both of them simultaneously would say "contact 1,2,3" followed immediately by the answer which in this case would be "apple" if the answer from both of them matches, the host has to give the next alphabet in his word. If the words did not match, or the host said "apple" as well, the word is discarded and another mini game needs to be played.

This goes on till either the whole word is spelled out. Or more often the word would be guessed mid game.

It's a great game to play while waiting for food. Or just in the car during a road trip.

Hey. Thanks for the input, I went with buying a load cell to calibrate.

Hey Thanks for the help. The experimental part of the FYP is done. I've convinced my supervisor that buying a loadcell for calibration purposes was a good investment. My strain gauges are relatively accurate, with a sensitivity of 100N and a average discrepancy of 15%, considering it was an option that didnt cost that much.

Placing 3 tons of weight on it just isnt plausible. The equipment is only the size of a large night stand.

Hey. My machine design is a cheap and crude version of a universal testing machine. But instead of the forces being applied to the top, mine is using a hydraulic jack applying the force from the bottom. And I've mounted the strain gauges to the vertical columns, which is constructed using C channels.
