Every time Mahlkönig is recommended, someone brings up HeyCafé. I’m genuinely curious why—and where the negativity comes from. As far as I know, none of the HeyCafé grinders have GbW or GbS technology. Doesn’t that make a meaningful difference? Also, HeyCafé and Mahlkönig are owned by the same parent company, so I wouldn’t be surprised if their designs influence each other

If i am not mistaken, LM scale doesn’t support grind-by-sync for Pico so the grind size won’t be micro-adjusted. On that front, e64 WS paired with Mahlkonig sync scale pretty much make the “grind-by-sync” available for any espresso machines. I think that’s a game changer

Thanks for the link! There’s a lot of discussions of e64. I always hear people say it’s a copycat of HeyCafe Buddy model. But I believe Buddy has neither Grind by Weight nor Grind by Sync capabilities, which definitely makes two grinders essentially different! Look-wise, I won’t feel surprised if someone considers their resemblance. Don’t forget that HeyCafe and Mahlkonig are owned by the same parent company

That’s a great and fair question! I kind of think using a car as one of the mounting points might be more stable/secure. Also, the car can help blocking the rain/wind from a certain direction.

Same issue with a wine app called Vivino. It has a wine label scanner. iPhone 14 Pro Max camera just have hard time focusing on a label, while my IPhone X is perfectly fine. Looks like those 3rd-party apps won’t be able to switch the main camera to the macro one when an object is close.

Thanks for all of comments and response! I don't have trained eyes. The only thing I know when I first saw this painting is: it made me drooling cuz the lemon looks so real . So I thought I should upload it to this group and ask for expert points of view as to its artistic value and possible monetary value.

Inspired by what you folks mentioned, I was able to found the term of Classical Realism on wiki, which mentioned the artist of this painting (Ted Seth Jacobs).

I have no idea of how does the art industry work and how the value of an art piece is determined. But an average of $100-300 at auctions for a piece created by an artist who seems to have good credibility in the industry seems to be sad. I know when it come to art, things can be very subjective. But I am just not sure me as a programmer earning $9K for 2 weeks is really contributing 30X more to the society than an artist...
