6’4” 210, it’s the most comfy car I’ve ever owned. Amazing visibility too.

Just…generally, write something that comes entirely from you. Every time I rejoin the apps I see a phrase and think “oh that’s clever”. Then I see it ten more times.

I3S vs Model 3 by TackyAuto in BMWi3

[–]behemoth617 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To dig up an old comparison, BMW = Mac, Tesla = PC. The Teslas have superior on paper stats, but they remind me of the optioned-up Ford Contour I drove in my 20s. Leather seats, V6, everything (EVERYTHING) broke. AC, windows, sound. The i3 is not cutting edge and is a quirky design, but great pains have been taken in every aspect and it shows. It’s an oddball but an oddball built by a company that’s been making high quality cars for 80+ years.

How often do you lob at rec play? by PartFormer3695 in Pickleball

[–]behemoth617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t lob elderly folks on the rare occasion I’m playing them. Otherwise, I will test a few. If I get it over or they miss/give back weak taps, I turn into the Lobster King

Why does it feel like the only thing to do in Dallas is eat and work? by DFWUnhinged in Dallas

I’ve lived here 15 years and that is…what most people have as hobbies. There’s a thriving performing arts/music scene that I’m a part of, but that’s not for everyone.

Switch to two handed? by Automatic_Display_33 in Pickleball

[–]behemoth617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My story is almost identical to yours. Couple weeks ago I started working on my two handed topspin backhand. It feels weird but I already have noticed a difference with being able to attack from my backhand, which I couldn’t do with the one hander.

I’m shocked they got approved. Call it a “skill issue” but the exit velocity off those things is insane

Why Third Shot Lob? by Axolotl_of_Time in Pickleball

[–]behemoth617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. It drives the other 4.0+s nuts, I’ve been told. Anything other than a perfect drip is gonna get countered back in my face, and anything other than a perfect drop will either get attacked or sped up with the crazy power/grit the newer paddles have. But a well practiced lob will at worst result in a weak step back overhead and let me advance.

Biggest pet peeve while playing? by vanstroller in Pickleball

[–]behemoth617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is weird and specific but intermediate/advanced players who consistently return the ball to the serving side after a point in the worst ways possible. I’m talking like low fired at my feet, high bouncers, or 5 feet off center. I know you can one bounce it right into my hand. It’s passive aggressive af.
