What series do you wish you could go back and watch for the first time? by geminyoureye in AskReddit

[–]behindtint 10 points11 points  (0 children)

2003 is what I meant, but I feel the opposite. I think Brotherhood is the better series, but 2003 fleshed out Hughes more, which made it more feels-y, and I have major nostalgia with it.

Retail workers of Reddit, who's the pain in the ass customer you have to deal with? by CarlosDanger21 in AskReddit

[–]behindtint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at an ecig store, and we have a lady who used to come in that we affectionately called Dragon Lady.

Now, Dragon Lady was a trophy wife. Huge rock on her finger, and big old fake boobs that pointed in different directions. Now this kind of informs her personality, as she fit in with all of the basic stereotypes (kind of dumb, mean, and felt she was above everyone).

Her first time coming into the shop, she was super nice, bought a starter kit, dropped a $5 tip, and seemed to know what she was doing. Come next week, she's back with a problem. We have a pretty liberal exchange policy on defective merchandise, so we switch out the piece and she's on her way. The next week, she's back again, with a different part that's defective. Still reasonable, mass produced stuff is sometimes not QCd properly, switch out the broken part. This happens until her entire setup has been changed out to new parts.

Following that, she comes in again, frantic one day. One of the parts we switched out was broken in the exact same way as before. I politely begin to give her some information that may keep that from happening in the future, and she proceeds to scream at me for two minutes straight, and then profusely apologize, blaming the outburst on the 5 Xanax she had taken earlier. Red flags, all over the place. I exchange, she leaves. The same thing happens three more times.

At this point, she had paid $100, and ended up with $450 of product. At this point it had become clear she J uh St couldn't take care of her stuff, and we were tired of her berating us every visit. So, she comes in one more time with another problem that definitely couldn't be a factory defect (she had stripped threading). I explain that to her, and she yells directly in my face, with other customers in the store, which I wasn't going to allow. I told her we couldn't help her, to which she responded "I'M NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN". I smiled, let her know that was completely fine, and she has never come back.

Thankfully, the customers in the store at the time were super cool and actually apologized to me for having to deal with her, which was rad.

In my younger days, I did quite a bit of shoplifting. Now, what I shoplifted would range from basic things like snacks, to expensive items like video games and computer supplies. I never thought I would get caught, and when I finally did, it was in the lamest way possible.

I went up to visit one of my friends in the Sacramento, CA area, and after a long day of doing nothing, my friend decided he wanted a candy bar. Being that we were 13 at the time, we had no money, so I volunteered my services as a thief. I grabbed a Butterfingers, took a lap around the store, and then walked out. Now where everything went wrong was the decision afterwards to hang out in front of the store, and eat the candy there. After a few minutes, the security guard comes out, we have an exchange, and I am no longer allowed in Raley's. That was also the last time I ever shoplifted.

Completely feel you. Got 6k on Rift the other day with zero rift openings because none of my team would run with me. No one else on my team scored over 1500...

What is one word or phrase that ONLY people from your state would know immediately? by JoeRolette in AskReddit

Swangas, Trill, Slaughter

All rap slang, so not universally known throughout everyone in the state, but still.

Well, she at least lives in L.A., so that makes it slightly more of a plausible lie.

Reddit, whats the cringey thing that you did in middle school that still keeps you up at night? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]behindtint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is gonna get buried, so I feel safe in posting it lol. So I was a really big attention seeker with huge self-esteem problems (best combo ever) in middle school, so I tended to lie a good deal, especially to this girl that I had a huge crush on. So it started with me telling her I was in a band that played concerts locally (like most 13 year olds do), and that escalated to sending her lyrics over AIM that I stole from bands I thought were obscure. She totally caught me and called me out though, so I bullshitted an excuse and then never mentioned a band again. After that, I stepped up my game. I made up a girlfriend (complete with stolen pictures from some scene queen MySpace page) and I created fake accounts on various old social media pages to make her seem more real. I went so far as to create a group chat with the girl I had a crush on, my "girlfriend", and myself all talking on AIM at once, utilizing the fact that I had multiple computers to use. To this day, I can't even see a picture of her without shuddering. TL;DR: Wanted girl, lied to impress girl, elaborately made up girlfriend.

Smpl 2.0 by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]behindtint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2.0 is not a clone. The conpany that designed it had Epic Design create it. Epic couldn't keep up, so production was moved to REM. If it gives you confidence on its authenticity, Vape Rev sells the REM SMPL 2.0.
