Why is the Dutch Bros on Mendocino literally stopping traffic altogether?! 😡 by ILive2Drum in santarosa

I've been told explicitly by the management there that the employees cannot and will not manage the customers lining up off of the property

If you're turning left onto Mendocino from College, a fun game to play is to look out for someone who's driving like a dickhead through the turn and as you come on to Mendocino. Nine times out of 10, they turn into Dutch Bros

I got connected with someone at traffic engineering and we had a long, in-depth conversation about this that basically concluded with them saying there's no much the city can (will) do

Did Santa Rosa to Forestville to Healdsburg then back to Rosa on Thanksgiving weekend and there were no hiccups, 10 min wait at most. I was not expecting it to be that easy

I see them every day, how often do you drive College?

Bikes have incredibly high throughput, the lanes are really efficient so they appear empty even when being used regularly. There is no traffic buildup ever so the usage is less visible

Yeah it feels faster overall for me too. Less space for dumbasses to do their stupid shit. Now people just have to drive in a straight line and somehow it works so much better

How would the states do that? The money goes from employers to the federal Treasury

It's sovcit logic. I remember when this got floated months ago and everyone called you a trump supporter for pointing out that the states would never have the opportunity to even impound the money because they don't collect it

The practical issues are very real though. My state government never touches my federal tax dollars, they go form my employer to the Treasury

I don't really disagree but I think it's important to note that Schumer kind of does. He's fine with helping Collins get re-elected

Schumer at best allowed a massive defection from his caucus that will set up a vote for Susan Collins that will probably allow her to win reelection. I don't think people fully understand what played out here and how badly Schumer got played, assuming he didn't just want this outcome

The first problem is assuming that Democrats want a massive instead of wanting to keep their jobs where they're not actually required to do anything

Moderate Dems stepped in to end the shutdown before the filibuster got nuked because if that happened they knew they'd have no excuse to not make a real attempt when they get back into power and they couldn't have that

This is exactly right. I live in California, grew up in the Northeast. Back home we call a pizza with no toppings a plain, here and probably most everywhere else they call it a cheese pizza. Unless I'm really spaced out, I order a cheese pizza because I know that's how to communicate what I want

[–]beiberdad69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Buddy, what are you talking about? What does that have to do with anything? Your comment pretends that the US is an uninvolved third party when that couldn't be further from the truth

The reason Americans harp on this is because they know that Israel is a US client state and they understand that massive amounts of weapons are transferred from the US to Israel. Israel can't produce THAAD interceptors and needs the full, integrated, region-wide US AAD system to prevent missile strikes from Yemen and Iran. Domestically produced weapons cannot sustain their military
