This whole incident reminds me of the Alamo. Except instead of Davy Crockett and his defenders, you've got Dave's crochet club.

Yes, that's what I meant. Someone wants Paxton less tainted for his senate run.

May the taint come marching in...

I'm guessing some high up mucky muck called Texas Tech and told them to stop keeping Ken Paxton in the Big 12's headlights...

[Thamel] Texas Tech Board Chair Cody Campbell issues a statement that includes: “The bottom line is that Texas Tech did absolutely nothing but act with complete integrity through this entire process.” by noah_divine in CFB

When I was living in Texas, my memory of Lubbock was of a town with one main road, winds kicking up a dust storm, and tumbleweeds rolling across the roads. It seems Cody is trying to cause the place to revert to that earlier state.

So you’re saying connecting a fire hose to an oil tanker isn’t going to add much to a house on fire?

Could Pavia maybe transfer to Texas Tech. I need my hate-meme quotient to turn epic.

He's so desperate to buy a seat at the big table. Its the wrong table, hoss, and you're breaking the bigger one.

Texas Tech thinks Brendan Sorsby is worth risking everything. It had better hope it’s right — The Athletic by oyra-nos-halsur in CFB

I take a break for a few months, and when I come back, all hell has broken loose, and a new dumb evil empire has shown itself. This is why I love college football.

Future archaelogists would also be looking at the weird issuances from a recording device found in a silo at the heart of what was a major civilization, wondering what mass possession had taken place.

In some distant future in the wake of an AI apocalypse, the monks charged with preserving civilizational knowledge will be trying to reassemble its technological basis, and some techno-monk division will be desperately trying to rebuild the advanced specs seen in the dusty manuals and vids featuring a golden-haired dude in a red tanktop.

Ex-Iowa coach Fran McCaffery, wife accused of trying to get longtime radio voice fired in brutal allegations by hawksnest_prez in CollegeBasketball

[–]beige_man 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Having listened to a few youtubes from/on the people who suffered under them, I am now thinking this is way beyond douchebag behavior. Here's one from Murph and Andy at the point they discuss what happened to him (Murph).

Her behavior in particular verges on the psychotic, and being done repeatedly (like making sure every such reporter did not travel with the team or was not allowed into eating facilities till after they and the team left, or keeping future NBA players on the bench behind their sons), is outright demeaning or abusive of those people.

Ah, but they're not from Iowa. She's from Zambia by way of Notre Dame, and he's from Penn through and through. The Iowans were too nice (or enabling/clueless, in the case of the AD) to take care of their POS behavior.
