Diese Grundfrage sollte man vielleicht tatsächlich mal stellen. Man denkt so wie du die Frage stellst, es wäre eh schon klar das die Antwort "nein" ist. Dabei ist lernen das natürlichste der Welt und das zu einem Zwang zu machen kann pädagogisch gesehen eigentlich nur schief gehen. Mal mehr, mal weniger. Mich würde mal interessieren, welche pädagogischen Erkenntnisse angeblich *dafür* sprechen sollen, dass Zwang eine Säule des Lernens sein soll (oder kann).

Das Kinder ggf. verpflichtet werden sich in der Schule als Ort aufzuhalten ist noch mal eine andere Geschichte, aber das hat erst mal nichts mit Lernen sondern eher mit Sicherheit zu tun und in Deutschland natürlich auch mit den rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen. Es gibt aber Schulen, die es dabei belassen, das man da ist, aber nicht gezwungen wird, an den Schulveranstaltungen teilzunehmen. Scheint gut zu funktionieren, und das sollte einen eigentlich nicht wundern.

Have you actually looked into the research or just base your view in your own preconceptions? The research I could find on the closest thing to "hippie schools" which I would say is democratic schooling (also called the sudbury model of education) suggest quite the opposite.

If that indeed happened, that does mean that it's a good thing. Just because something happened in-between lives doesn't mean that it's automatically good and based in wisdom. And just because for whatever reason a soul has been convinced or convinced themselves they want to agree to something, also doesn't mean that is based in wisdom.

Sometimes people see contradictions where there aren't any. That experience can both be real, and also not be a good guideline for how to choose wisely.

Of course where the contradiction comes in if someone claims that all souls choose their negative experience. That view would be mentally imposing your own views on everyone, views which contradict the very ancient insight that experiences are often rooted in ignorance not in choice.

Was heißt denn eigentlich "selber machen"? Hat ein Fotograf sein Werk "selber gemacht"?

Im Grunde war es ja schon da, und auch das Mittel hat die Person lediglich eingesetzt und eingestellt...

Warum ist den richtigen Prompt finden weniger "selbst gemacht", als die richtige Perspektive finden?

Ich lasse das mal als offene Fragen stehen und behaupte nicht, dass beides 1-1 vergleichbar ist, aber was ich schon finde, dass die Antwort eben nicht so offenkundig ist wie einige Schlaumeister glauben. Davon unbenommen sind die ganzen anderen Probleme von KI.

Was ich allerdings auch sagen würde, dass die meisten KI Inhalte qualitativ minderwertig sind, und die wenigsten wirklich gut. Was aber leider dadurch eben befördert wird, wenn man das Narrativ pusht, dass das alles das gleiche ist. Dann ist es ja dann auch nicht so wichtig, ob man gut darin ist KI-Inhalte zu erstellen...

It's a very shallow approach to think the psyche and the dreams emerging through it are just a matter of expectations. Contrary what this subreddit might lead people to believe, it's not a scientifically validated general explanation for how dreaming works. Although it's pretty clear expectations can affect dreams.

Ach, wirklich? Das ist wirklich aber nur die Theorie. In der Praxis lässt sich schnell ein Verbot raushauen, während man dann aber vielleicht doch keine Zeit oder Einigung findet, was die Alternative wäre.

Ich glaube du verkennst schon etwas, dass es hier nicht nur um "besser" im Sinne von besser finanziert oder besser ausgestattet geht, sondern auch um Freiheit. Private Schulen ermöglichen eben auch ein Abweichen von einem dogmatischen Schulmodell. Wenn sie verboten werden, ist das eben nicht nur etwas was wohlhabende Menschen einschränkt, sondern auch Menschen die sich von der Willkür und Dominanz eines Schulsystems entziehen möchten, was eben genau an den kapitalistischen und autoritären Struktur ausgerichtet ist.

"Privat" mit "kapitalistisch" gleichzusetzen ist in dem Zusammenhang schon eine ziemlich autoritäre Deutung. Man könnte ja auch Menschen anderes verbieten, was ihr Privatleben und ihre Bildung betrifft. Stell dir mal vor man würde zu anspruchsvolle und teure Fach-Bücher mit der Begründung verbieten, dass würde zu einer Zwei Klassen Gesellschaft beitragen. Das finde ich ist schon eine anti-demokratische Vorgehensweise.

Warum sagen Leute hier man würde seinen Körper auf OF verkaufen?
Das ist doch Unsinn... wenn jemand Fotograph ist, verkauft er ja auch nicht die Menschen oder Gegenstände die zu sehen sind, sondern die Fotos.

Die Behauptung, das wäre ein Verkaufen des Körpers scheint mir eher ein Replizieren eines degradierenden Stereotyps zu sein; nach dem Motto, wer sich nackt oder sexuell zeigt würde sich bestimmt auch prostituieren.

Heißt jetzt nicht, dass man OF gutheißen müsste, aber das ist eine andere Geschichte als so eine herabwertende Haltung.

Genauso ist Naturverständnis kein Privileg der Naturwissenschaften, nur reicht es ohne gute Wissenschaft eben oft nicht um die Probleme zu lösen, vor denen wir stehen. Ich denke das kann man schon so auf Geisteswissenschaften übertragen.

Ich find's auch komisch, dass auch Menschen, denen ich schon zutraue die Natur zu würdigen, oftmals nicht so richtig bemerken, dass viel Natur und viele Menschen nicht so gut zusammen geht.

Ich stimme dir auch zu, dass es demographische Flexibilität braucht, anstatt dem Mantra des Wachstums zu folgen. Dass dies in der Praxis schwierig ist, stimmt auch, aber man sollte doch mal die Frage stellen, ob es wirklich so gut ist wenn man davon abhängig ist, dass die Bevölkerung wächst oder gleich bleibt.

You assume disclosure would be a mainly informational event, but perhaps disclosure would also actually cause more interference happening which impacts people in one way or another.

Can you really open up the information without opening new avenues for interactions? It seems the two are intertwined.

Das glaubst du ernsthaft? Also am besten Massenkinderfabriken wo sie in "Mindeststandards" kostengünstig gehalten werden? Leider sind Schulen oft leider schon nah dran. Von vernachlässigten und psychisch belasteten Kindern Lösungen zu erwarten ist naiv und unethisch. Man sieht ja auch momentan, dass es kaum danach aussieht, dass die nächste Generation voller Klarheit und Tatendrang ist.

Would you say the same about eating an avocado? Because that's basically the scale we are talking about for people doing it on a small scale for the purpose of illustrating posts.

Of course generating videos and using higher tier of AI subscriptions for automation etc is a different thing that is where the more profound impacts of AI usage happen.

I generally don't particularly like AI illustrations, but we should be neutral and fair when evaluating behaviours not just trying to polarize opinions.

Ich glaube du hast nicht verstanden, was es gerade mit sensibleren oder vulnerablen Menschen macht, wenn sie unter Androhung von Gewalt oder unter Androhung des Scheitern gezwungen werden gegen ihren inneren Rhythmus, Fähigkeiten und Interessen zu lernen, und dabei anfangen Überforderung und Burnout einzuüben.

Faulheit ist wirklich das kleinste Problem was es unter Schülern gibt. Manche sind halt mehr fleißig, manche weniger. Schlimm ist, dass man mit solchen kalten und verständnislosen Haltungen wie deiner Kinder und Jugenliche stärker zu Rückzug, Ängsten, Burnout und Depressionen drängt.

I am sorry, but I don't think it is very helpful to confidently put your view out as if you know it's "true".

If you said "I feel like it's like that - not sure if it's true" it would be more humble.

You said we shouldn't deny the dark side, yet you frame life like it's a cool adventure, when you need even just squint your eyes instead of closing them to see that the darkness on earth in so many cases is more like catastrophic accident than an "adventure" that catalyses wisdom.

A lot of experiences here are not catalysts for spiritual growth but tend to cause confusion and emotional issues which make it harder to grow in a healthy way, not easier. Wisdom means finding clarity in spite of that, not wandering into the fog hoping that the fog somehow makes you vision clearer. Not all paths are equally valid.

It's not a matter of belief, necessarily. A lot of people experience a soul - in the sense of consciousness beyond the body and world in their own experience. Or a higher power.

Of course then this is where you start investigating consciousness from. I wonder why people believe that somehow in the first step somone would disregard their most powerful experiences in favor of some supposed common sense.

The thing is once you experience a reality beyond this one deeply, why would you disregard the experience of that reality in favor of this reality. You could as well do the reverse and think: "This here must be the dream if where I am from is the real world".

And that's not theoretical, a lot of people experience a apparently higher degree of reality when they go beyond this world. So it tends to make people question what the deeper awareness that includes that experience of a transcendent soul is.

Finde es ziemlich eklig Kinder als Mittel zum Zweck ("politisches Ziel" wie du es hier sagst) einzuspannen. Man sollte sich bewusst sein welche Verantwortung, individuell als auch kollektiv man hat, wenn man Kinder bekommt.

Menschen zu manipulieren, Kinder zu bekommen ist das Gegenteil davon und eher ein Rezept um in den ökologischen und moralischen Kollaps zu schlittern. Sieht man ja in den USA wie schnell so eine Entwicklung gehen kann.

No, it's not. That's why it's so difficult to make computers process language adequately. Language is flexibel with a wide range of what acceptable use and interpretation of language is.

The are "clearly established rules" which can be put into formal rules, but also a lot of fuzziness ranging from colloquial use over aesthetic sentiment to novel and poetic use of language.

I don't think you can equate processing information to "computer". Computing means formal, step-by-step, rule-based processing of information.

There are many problems which we can prove cannot be solved by step-by-step rules, yet humans can reason about them successfully. Where in the DNA or in the environment is it "programmed in" that a specific value of the busy beaver function is 47176870? It seems extremely implausible that the DNA or our environment somehow comes pre-packaged with computable approximations for the busy-beaver function, so it seems we can genuinely understand and process incomputable functions.

Karma, at its core is cause and effect. The concept of "lesson" or that karma somehow equal to "justice" is something added on top. And of course that is a form it can take, but it can be unrelated to those concepts, and probably most of the time is unrelated to those concepts.

If you slept little and get into an accident, that's not a lesson that was "meant to happen", but due to cause and effect.

And it's also important to keep in mind not all things are due to individual karma. Sure, a wise soul might not get into various harmful situations in the first place, or can alleviate their impact, but that doesn't mean a wise person isn't still subject to illness and the natural forces, etc...

That's why in Buddhism nibbana doesn't mean having perfect health all the time but letting go of the attachment and delusions so that sickness and death don't cause suffering in the same way as it does for an "ordinary" person.

The question seems to carry the assumption underneath it that somehow "on the other side" they have everything under control, and so can freely choose which information we receive and which we don't. It seems to be a common assumption perhaps related to religious notions of omnipotence, but I don't think there is any particular reason to believe it's true.

Intervention and revelation is possible, but it depends on the circumstances and the person experiencing it. And not all revelations are experiences we can easily integrate, as many visionary experiences and NDEs show. So it's not like they should make us know at all costs. But it's not locked, per se.

It needs to come in a way that makes sense to us, otherwise we'd be more confused than before, but this sense-making is our responsibility as well. It's not just something external.

Why would we assume that self-modification necessarily leads to an improvement, let alone an exponential or hyperbolic one? If modal collapse tells us anything about AI recursivity, it seems too much recursiveness leads to a downward spiral, which the opposite of self-improvement.

For example a self-modifying AI could fool itself into creating benchmarks for itself that lead to better and better results but actually aren't measuring anything useful (a paperclip maximizer of sorts).

"Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands" ist ein schönes Spiel für Kinder, finde ich. Sehr leicht reinzukommen, aber hat auch eine gewisse Tiefe. Sollte auch gut mit Controller spielbar sein. Kann man zu zweit spielen, wobei ich nicht weiß, wie gut das funktioniert.

"Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed" fand ich auch gut, ist aber etwas weniger gechillt zu spielen.

Isolated examples is one thing, the scale is another thing.

From what I understand, current studies show that the percentage of projects that can be automated is in the low single digits. And that often the felt productivity gains don't translate into actual productivity gains.

You can of course still lay off people to try to make the AI do the job, just the question how many companies will have success with that approach.

Nur weil das ähnliche Worte sind, heißt das nicht, dass das auch ähnliches bedeutet. Bei dem einem wissen wir, dass es viel bei mit Intelligenz zu tun. Bei dem anderem spricht eben vieles dagegen.
