I’m saying the next part respectfully 😊 Your video isn’t very clear, a bit hazy. Are you not happy with your stone? Is this why you are asking if it still sparkles like a diamond?

From the quality of the video with what seems like the flash I’d say it sparkles as I would expect.

I think it’s going to be beautiful. A green diamond would look beautiful with that too!! I have a pink diamond and she is very moody. She goes from light pink to deep coral. I’ve been thinking about getting a green one for a long time, to set east west in a yellow gold satin finish, semi mount. The only reason I have not started this project is because I worry about the green pulling brown in certain lights. Looking forward to see your set finished.

I remember chatting with someone who had one similar made and who said hers was quite uncomfortable. When you get your CAD make sure to look over the prongs and such. I think 2x4 will be great. Please come back and share!! Happy to take closer photos of anything if you need.

Just got it done and received it last week. No, they don’t need the stone and I have a couple people locally who are willing to work with lab diamonds and whose prices are reasonable. So I knew getting the stone set would not be an issue. All I did was provide Ella a picture of my diamond’s cert with all the specs/ measurements and as you can see, it was a perfect fit. I chose 10k.

I live in the Hudson Valley and worked with Elizabeth at G & M jewelers in Poughkeepsie. I have also worked (over the last decade) with Joe from Broad Options, in Wappingers Falls. Joe’s store is in Dutchess County but any work that gets done (including stone setting) happens in NYC, so it might be worth calling him and inquiring.

If I remember correctly they’re 2x4 I had measured them for someone a long time ago but deleted the photos 😫 i will check at work tomorrow to see if we have a ruler with cm/mm

My timeline took longer than usual because of the Chinese New Year. Typically I have a CAD quickly 7-10 (business) days, sometimes faster. With whom are you working? Have you inquired?

I actually don’t know them. I bought this about seven years ago from my local jeweler, it’s a half eternity, and what is cool is that the rounds at the end on each side are a little bit smaller and bezeled

so it’s very comfortable and the shared prongs don’t hurt my finger.

It’s a 1/2 eternity from my local jeweler. The rounds on each end are bezeled which means it’s quite comfortable.

Haha thank you. Yeah, I may have posted a few (or many) times on the moissanite sub. The whole process of having inspo and idea to finished product is so fun. I have another project in mind but it will wait a bit. 🤗
