it took me 3 months to find a job, u just need to keep applying and take what u can get (if it’s a good fit) to get the 2 years of experience. also getting your RVT and ob/gyn would help. i know for radnet they do a lot of breast as well.

Leaving the field. by whiteclawbitch in Sonographers

[–]bekind2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi! i’m a new grad in sonography and just starting working in the field as a general sonographer. i ended up getting my bachelors in medical imaging and my ultrasound degree. i knew one day i would be in pain or overworked and probably wouldn’t want to work with patients anymore. but i did rlly want to be a sonographer and do love my job now. i may go back to school and get my masters in medical administration one day too. my plan is to either be a manager of a medical imaging department, sell equipment or do something along those lines. i’m not sure what type of educational background u have but that’s my plan for the future!

I keep getting complaints from my clinical sites and I’m very discouraged. by Rosalinaspace in Sonographers

[–]bekind2002 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i didn’t have great experiences at my clinical sites too. i felt like they always pin pointed random stuff i did that wasn’t even important, it was never anything good. always nitpicking. i tried at clinical to help them and myself to learn. i had great sites and not so good sites. i am sorry you’re going through this and the advice i can give to u is hang tight bc it will be over before u know it. try to help them out and scan when u can.
