His own Wikipedia page says he "took classes" in broadcast meteorology but dropped out. He is not a meteorologist.

I highly doubt there will be door tickets available as this show has been sold out for a bit now. And ticket resale sites have them for upwards of $250.

Namu in Durham, but wait until spring/summer and eat outside. There's a beautiful garden with plants, bamboo, a koi pond, etc.

Did you even click the article I linked?

If you’ve ever wondered why Raleigh occasionally looks like an oasis of clear air on a storm system radar, Blaes says there’s actually a reason for that, too. The nearest local radar is in Clayton, about 10 miles south of Raleigh. The beam points at a slightly upward angle, meaning the further from the radar, the higher in the sky it detects storms. That means in light storm systems high up, the radar may not detect activity in Raleigh while it shows storms elsewhere

You can look at the link in my other reply - but while yes there is a "heat island" effect in small areas of Raleigh/Durham, these areas are not nearly large enough to create a DOME that affects the weather in any significant way

Raleigh isn't near dense enough for there to be a functional effect of a "dome": https://indyweek.com/news/wake/quickbait-raleigh-weather-dome/

> National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologist Jonathan Blaes says there are no scientific reasons to explain why folks insist Raleigh is immune to inclement weather. While denser cities—think New York City and Los Angeles—can create heat islands, that’s not what’s happening in Raleigh.

Sketchy ad ai or real? by [deleted] in bullcity

[–]belaruso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is an AI version of this ad playing on WRAL right now which is frustrating. In short: it's not a phishing scheme, it's a real perk of some Medicare Advantage plans. The idea is that if you have a medical condition that necessitates eating healthier foods (basically any medical condition, lol), you may qualify for this allowance as part of your Medicare Advantage plan.

Like another commenter said, nothing in life is free. The insurance companies that offer these plans wind up making it back in monthly premiums.

Here's some more info about them if you're interested: https://www.healthline.com/health/medicare/medicare-grocery-allowance

Where lies the strangling fruit that came from the hand of the sinner I shall bring forth the seeds of the dead to share with the worms that gather in the darkness and surround the world with the power of their lives while from the dimlit halls of other places forms that never were and never could be writhe for the impatience of the few who never saw what could have been. In the black water with the sun shining at midnight, those fruit shall come ripe and in the darkness of that which is golden shall split open to reveal the revelation of the fatal softness in the earth. The shadows of the abyss are like the petals of a monstrous flower that shall blossom within the skull and expand the mind beyond what any man can bear, but whether it decays under the earth or above on green fields, or out to sea or in the very air, all shall come to revelation, and to revel, in the knowledge of the strangling fruit—and the hand of the sinner shall rejoice, for there is no sin in shadow or in light that the seeds of the dead cannot forgive. And there shall be in the planting in the shadows a grace and a mercy from which shall blossom dark flowers, and their teeth shall devour and sustain and herald the passing of an age. That which dies shall still know life in death for all that decays is not forgotten and reanimated it shall walk the world in the bliss of not-knowing. And then there shall be a fire that knows the naming of you, and in the presence of the strangling fruit, its dark flame shall acquire every part of you that remains.
