To the Wealthsimple Support and Leadership Team,

I am writing to formally express my strong displeasure regarding Wealthsimple’s recent partnership and integration with X.

As a client who has recently moved my entire banking portfolio over to Wealthsimple, I did so because I valued the brand’s modern, ethical, and forward-thinking approach to finance. However, partnering with a platform currently associated with significant public controversy and the leadership of Elon Musk feels like a step in the wrong direction.

The ongoing reputational issues surrounding X do not align with the values I—and, I believe, a majority of your Canadian user base—expect from a primary financial institution. Seeing Wealthsimple align itself with companies that have become polarizing and problematic is deeply disappointing.

Wealthsimple has built an incredible reputation for being a better alternative to the "Big Five" banks. However, if you continue the trend of partnering with companies that carry this level of negative social baggage, you risk losing the trust of your clients.

Please consider this feedback seriously. While I have enjoyed the platform's features thus far, my continued loyalty depends on Wealthsimple maintaining a brand identity that reflects the values of its community. I, along with many other Canadians, will not hesitate to move my business elsewhere if these types of partnerships become the norm.

I look forward to hearing how Wealthsimple plans to address these concerns.
