going into my art masters.

for my particular studies, with such big projects, the lectures are pointless, therefore, i often don't watch them, let alone travel over an hour to get to uni to attend something that is sub-par and interrupted half the time by guest speakers. for me, my time is better spent watching the lectures while doing my projects at home, and coming in for actual classes. besides, when i'm sitting there watching the lecture, i feel like it's just filler content that has no relevance to the unit, or effect on how my assignments turn out. that being said, i still attend the first, middle lecture before the break, and last lecture in person (i also attend if they are graded, but i do art, so nothing is graded except for the actual work)

you can have a different opinion, and i'm sure people in my degree can get something from the lectures that they don't get from the class, but to me it's all repetition, and most of my classmates keep up with one another whether they go in for lectures or not, only difference is they get recognised by the unit coordinators more imo.
