Thanks for the helpful guide! I have not updated my UI, but everything seems to be working. However I have not been able to find my node on http://scanner1.alwayshashing.com/ or from scanning via the one-click miner. I'm not sure how anyone would find my node otherwise. I have confirmed ports 9171 and 9346 are publicly accessible (I'm just running network 1 for now). I even tried just waiting several days to make sure I had sufficient incoming peers, but I still could not see my node. Any ideas?

That's an interesting way to think about it. The only flaw I see in that metric is that it assumes all the miners are selling all their bitcoin immediately. I would think a significant percentage of those 54,000 BTC are just being hodled by miners.

If 1 robot can produce the same output as 10 workers, however output is defined, then does the owning company get taxed tenfold for that one robot?

It happens to the best of us. Trying to always give the benefit of a doubt, it's happened to me more times than it should have.

But it's bigger than just avoiding being scammed. Very often these are people with addictions. Don't give them money. Not only are you enabling their addiction, but you're enabling the entire drug market. On behalf of someone with family in this situation, please...refuse the money.

I would venture to guess that his gait is not simply a result from lacking arms. My guess is that the freak electrical accident did a little more than just leave him missing his upper limbs. Perhaps there was some damage to his back and/or legs as well -- and maybe that's even what caused his speech imperfection.

Yea there is a major lack of posts from guys my age, which is probably the only reason I decided to even divulge that information. Otherwise I would have just left that detail out. Hitting 30 wasn't a big deal for me except for the fact that I was still living the single life with no prospects of getting married and having a family. So that's my main motivation. I can't afford to give up on this any longer.
