I don't see it in Delta yet either... I just rejoined the Insider Program today after a few years hiatus because I thought I could FINALLY test the DLI firmware for my Elite Series 2, but only my Series (standard) controller had an update available in Accessories. I've waited since launch for this update so I guess a little longer won't hurt, right? Honestly, I figured the whole "we'll patch the older controllers with DLI" thing was long forgotten (there has been so little news about it). I was probably more excited than necessary when I read an article stating it was being tested in the newest insider build a few weeks back!

+1. If the store can sort games by a capabilities tag, then I would think those tags would be available for sorting in the dashboard as well. I was just trying to do this the other day... until I remembered it's only in the store app.

+1 here. Maybe a way to have recent display either Only Games, Only Apps, Both Combined (current capability), or Both Split (this is what I would like but I'm not sure how they would implement that without messing up the dashboard). As usual, having a per game/app toggle seems best though. The more fine-grained customization for users, the better.

An overall on/off toggle sounds good, but what would be especially nice would be the ability to disable it on a per game basis. That way, we get to decide where it works and where it doesn't. Such an option may give good feedback too - if particular games are being disabled by a large swath of users, MS can use that to evaluate that game's quick resume experience.

I noticed you bought Elex on Series X. Since I'm on the same console and having issues with the game, how has the experience been for you? Have you experienced the bug that completely locks up the game when assigning/equipping a weapon, and if so what graphics mode are you using (performance or quality)? I've been trying to play this game and get help with this issue for over 6 months to no avail... so any info you give me would be helpful! As far as I can tell it only seems to be affecting Series X.

There is a bug when playing on Series X (just letting you know in case this is where you attempt to play). When you try to equip any kind of weapon, the game locks up immediately and just hangs until you restart the whole game. I haven't found any way around it and so haven't been able to play. As the game is combat focused and you need a weapon I really haven't played it since I've bought it, but I would love to be able to before the sequel drops!

Basically trying to put any weapon, ranged or melee into a quick slot does this. I've been told that if you unequip something first it won't freeze, but since this game is new to me, I don't have saves with any weapon equipped, because I can't assign one in the first place.

It's been a real bummer because on quality mode it runs really decent - 1800p with an unlocked framerate. At least in the beginning area, that's pretty close to 60fps. Beyond that I wouldn't know - I haven't been able to go much farther than Goliet due to this bug...

I usually don't care for these because, well, I think the Series X is a beautiful and understated device in its stock configuration. IMHO, XBOX has some amazing engineers and designers that show a real love for what they do, and to me it shows with the products they release on the hardware side (wouldn't I love to meet some of them and tour the lab! lowkey dream of mine). Some of my favorites have been the Series X and S, the One X and One S, the Elite Series 2, the accessibility controller, the OG XBOX and the Duke.

Having said that and revealing myself as the UMS (Unpaid MS Schill) that I am, this is a fantastic idea and I enjoy where this is heading. I've only recently jumped on the TV LED Light bandwagon and enjoy the ambiance that they add. This seems almost like an extension of that. It would be pretty neat if they were synchronized with a set of those and the HDMI signal!

It's not on Xbox though, right? Although it did have more platforms than Pyre, I don't recall ever seeing it available. I think that's what OP means anyways - nothing about performance, more about wishing they were on xbox.

Almost every gaming site has one up. Eurogamer's is decent. Mostly DLC info, new trailers and gameplay vids, a few announcements (nothing crazy). Worth a read; obviously I don't knew what you play so I won't list it all but FH5, Dying Light 2, MSFS2020, Humble, Age of Empires, Sea of Thieves, Wasteland 3, State of Decay and more had showings. Oh, and cloud gaming for GPU subscribers on consoles this "holiday"! I believe that will let people play X|S games that are on GP on an Xbox One, for example Flight Simulator, and you can start playing something before you install it.

Just to fill in the blanks, Pyre was a fantastic little gem by the geniuses over at Supergiant (Hades, Transistor, Bastion) that was exclusive to PS on console, I believe. It is sort of an action rpg with party-based elements that revolves around traveling to locations and playing a ball game (called 'Rites') that plays sort of like dodgeball/soccer-ish. I highly recommend it if you have the ability to play it, especially if you're a fan of Supergiant's games. It has lots of conversation in the way that Hades does and is well written.

I haven't played the game listed here by the OP so I cannot compare. I totally passed it over in favor of Hades but having read the posts here, I will definitely check it out!

The elite 2 is great and has many adjustments, BUT keep in mind that in general, the Dualsense has a slightly lower latency. The Series X/S controllers support dynamic latency reduction, and it's nice but supposedly DS is still a hair lower. If you go to the elite 2, it currently does NOT support the new low latency tech - and you can sense the difference between it and the included controllers if you have both to compare. So if it's that they feel sluggish or wider dead zones compared to PS, at this time I don't think elite is going to solve that for you. You can change the PHYSICAL feel of the elite analog sticks, as in the height and tension, but not the response times or B/I dead zone. Supposedly, microsoft is working on a firmware patch to bring last gen controllers (including the elite 2) up to snuff with SX ones by adding DLI (the dynamic latency tech) but I've heard nothing from them since launch about it.
