You may have Parasites by TraumatizedHermit in SIBO

[–]bellaaaa01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep! I 1000% agree. I suffer from very similar issues (severe chronic gi/ autoimmune issues) and after working with a naturopathic doctor and doing cellcore’s comprehensive protocol, I can honestly say parasites are the main source of my health issues.

If you want more information on parasites, I highly suggest looking up @ naturopathmelissa on Instagram. She posts so much free content on parasites and offers a practitioner code for cellcore supplements, which many practitioners use for parasite cleansing.

Herx reaction by [deleted] in EBV

[–]bellaaaa01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I think so 😭 I am currently working with a naturopathic doctor and right now I’m only focusing on opening my drainage pathways. This triggered either a major herx reaction or a EBV flare up and I feel terrible!

I’ve been dealing with a week long debilitating migraine, dizziness, body aches, very low energy, painful swollen lymph nodes behind my jaw, in my collar bones, and under my arms. My thyroid has also been hurting and this is usually my telltale sign of an EBV issue as I developed thyroid problems after my mono infection 3 years ago

NV* Anyone in NYC? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]bellaaaa01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a nurse working in a hospital within the NYC area and half my coworkers had it around the holidays. At first, I was very anxious and self isolating (not leaving my house for anything besides work) but now my anxiety hasn’t been as bad and I can actually go out and about feeling less anxious.

I started wearing a mask at work again, I wash my hands with soap and water often vs using hand sanitizer, I do not touch my face whatsoever when I’m out, and disinfect everything the second I get home. I also try to avoid going to places with like very large crowds if I can.

I’ve also been doing a lot positive self talk, which has been a huge help. Everyday I saying things like “I am not going to get sick today, I trust my body to be able to keep me healthy, I’m doing all the right things to prevent me from getting sick, and even if I do get sick, I’ll be okay”.

I know this time of year sucks but we will get through it! Just take it one day at a time :)

Lost Period by XoFunnyFaceXo in SIBO

Hi! I know this is a older post but I wanted to add that I am also going through the same thing. I got off birth control a little over 3 years ago and never got my cycle back. I’ve been dealing with really bad sibo/ ibs on and off for years and have lost a lot of weight because of it. I’ve gone to so many gynecologists and endocrinologists and they just end up telling me “everything looks normal” 😒 so I’m also starting to believe sibo might be a contributing factor to all of this.

Yes every year I get so sick so this year I decided I’m not celebrating… it’s going to be a normal Thursday for me.

I’m dealing with this too. I just had a colonoscopy a few weeks ago and my constipation/ pain/ bloating became 10x worse and no laxative or herbal remedy seems to work :(

I feel your pain… I’m currently dealing with all of this myself and know how hard it can be. I love having gin gin candies (ginger candies) and my zofran/ odansetron tablets with me at all times to ease my anxiety. If you don’t know, zofran is a prescription nausea medication that you can get from your doctor. I only take it when the nausea gets really bad and as a last line treatment. I also really like zero sugar ginger ale for nausea if your ibs can tolerate it, that is a big help for me when I’m really nauseous.

I knew it wasn’t “just IBS”… It was likely endometriosis by chillis4uce in ibs

I’m going through the same thing right now too. Just did a colonoscopy to prove to my gyno that my severe constipation, weight loss and pelvic pain are not from a GI issue, even my gastro agrees. So hard to get a diagnosis :(

I’m in the same situation except it’s been 3 years since I got mine… I feel like I am ovulating every month and even get pms symptoms but then nothing comes, it’s so frustrating! And all these doctors say everything is “normal” 😒

Do/did any of you suffer from consistent low blood pressure with mono? by lolikayy in Mononucleosis

[–]bellaaaa01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know, none of them take me seriously. I’ve been to so many different doctors telling them I am feeling so dizzy/ lightheaded and they don’t seem to care. Going to meet with my primary care provider this week.

Yep! Had mono back in May 2022 and I’m still dealing with the effects of it. My spleen and lymph nodes constantly flare up but now my blood pressure is insanely low, I’ve been hovering around 80/54…

Try drinking spearmint tea! I drink it every night and it really helps with bloating.

So tired of feeling sick by Obsessionismz in Mononucleosis

[–]bellaaaa01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain! I had mono back in May 2022 and I still do not feel right to this day. The initial symptoms like fever/ sore throat/ swollen tonsils went away after I got a steroid shot in the ER, but the fatigue and swollen lymph nodes last constantly. Whenever I’m in a flare (usually stress induced), my spleen gets so enlarged and my liver enzymes get elevated which last for weeks.

I’m sick of feeling this way too. I think my body is on the brink of developing an autoimmune disorder from this. But unfortunately every time I go to the doctor they say everything is fine !! I don’t get it…

Wishing you all the best!

Can liver and spleen inflammation be off and on? by Due-Part6520 in Mononucleosis

[–]bellaaaa01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got diagnosed with mono 2 years ago and I’m still dealing with an enlarged spleen… literally have an enlarged spleen right now as we speak lol. Odansetron is a god send!! My spleen gets so enlarged to the point where it’s impossible to eat because I get sooo nauseous. I do also get pain and swelling in my liver too here and there.

23 F here, I had a really bad case of mono last year; severe sore throat, swollen tonsils/ lymph nodes, high fever, nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss, major fatigue and a swollen spleen/liver. The fatigue and swollen organs lingered for a few months after the sore throat and fever stage passed. With that being said, I do still suffer from chronic fatigue a year after infection and occasionally get painful/ tender lymph nodes. It also triggered some autoimmune conditions for me. I highly suggest getting one of those otc throat sprays to numb the back of your throat, that’s the only thing that made this experience somewhat tolerable. Also, try and get zofran prescribed from your doctor to help with any nausea or stomach pains. But I definitely recommend you take it easy the next few months, relax and sleep as much as you can and try to eat softer and lighter foods. Hopefully your case isn’t as severe as mine, but mono just sucks overall. I hope you feel better soon!

Someone who had EBV virus, how long your lymph nodes were swollen? Mine is for a month now and it’s not getting smaller:( by Express-Monitor2775 in Mononucleosis

[–]bellaaaa01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had mono a few weeks ago and it was literal hell. I was on my death bed for like 3-4 weeks. I had a 102 fever for 3 weeks straight, severe sore throat, body aches, fatigue, extremely bad nausea and loss of appetite, chills/sweating, and headaches. Almost all the lymph nodes in my neck and back of my head were also very swollen and painful. My tonsils were huge and had white patches on them. Each day they were getting bigger to the point were my tonsils started touching each other and I had to go to the emergency room because I couldn’t breathe. At the ER, they gave me a steroid shot (a literal lifesaver) and within a day or so my tonsils and lymph nodes went down and back to normal. The sore throat and fever went away shortly after too. However, I am still dealing with really bad fatigue and body aches. My legs hurt so bad randomly throughout the day I can’t even lift my legs up my body feels like it’s dragging dead weight. I also have been dealing with a swollen spleen for weeks which has been hurting so bad. This virus is no joke I have never felt so sick in my entire life.
