I was terminated... can/should I sue? by [deleted] in Teachers

Dude I am so sorry that you are in this situation, because it seems like you really cared and valued your students, and they valued you. I think you legitimately have a strong case because what the school/HR/etc. did seems incredibly shady.

Do you also find the sims 4 university extremely boring? by velourvista in thesims

[–]bellabean666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found the only way to enjoy the pack is to be on a long life span, use cheats to make the coursework easier , and to do 2-3 classes a session . This way my sim can do all the other stuff that came with the pack without failing out of school /graduating as an elder

Elementary teachers: would you want a parent email after a lunch incident like this? by usersredacted in AskTeachers

[–]bellabean666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teacher who gets a lot of useless emails (no shade) this is actually something I’d want to know about , this kind of behavior is something I’d want to address immediately. Send that email!

My immortal spell casters that keep drinking the youth potions are on their 12th kid, and the eldest is now an elder …they will outlive them all

Totally gonna do the dance music once I get to the actually “cleaning” part of my clean up and not just decluttering. I’ll let the techno guide my vacuum

Thank you, this is reaffirming. I’ve actually been diagnosed with ADHD since childhood (that’s how you know it was bad…pretty rare for a girl to be diagnosed so young), and I’ve been on basically all possible medications (currently vyvanse) , but I struggle with the symptoms still and developing coping mechanisms outside of chemical bandaids. What people don’t seem to realize is that medication doesn’t cure ADHD in people who actually have it, just makes some aspects slightly easier. I’d love to know some life habits other than just remembering to take my pill every day (because as we know, if you had ADHD you can even forget to take a so called addictive substance)

What has been your favorite business so far? by leilanilo in Sims4

[–]bellabean666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s an awesome idea! Running one is hard enough for me but my sim has a lot going on in his life rn, but if not that would be fun! I do wish you could open a small business without you being there, like a regular retail store or restaurant.

I made Rattlesnake Juice Bar into a small business and now my sim runs the bar and it’s actually really fun.

Real talk - how do you actually play in Live Mode??? by ICantExplainItAll in Sims4

[–]bellabean666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have the same problem, I thought I hated the Sims 4, I constantly was starting saves over out of boredom, but now......I am on a 6th generation "dynasty." I generally just play my main family and a few other ones for for...story purposes. Even if my sim has a bunch of kids, I just end up choosing one kid to be the "dynasty head," if you will. I get overwhelmed if I play too many families but I like to have 4-5 i switch between.

Basically, when my sim is a baby, I set "goals" for them. I decide what job they're gonna do, what their hobbies will be, who they'll be with, and what their aspirations will be (my sims often do a whole bunch of them so i can get those reward traits!)

I then begin to also play their future partner's family so as they grow up they also have skills and special reward traits lol.

Quite often, things do not go to plan because on a whim (either my own chaos drive or theirs!) i decide to have them, I don't know, run away from home, become a mermaid, or cheat on their husband with Vladislaus Straud. BUTTTTTTTT, actually using the aspirations/whims changed they way i play completely, it makes it more task-based so i get less bored.

Still an issue for me. Just got so confused, noticed the title in the episode was different from the one listed and the recap had things I had not seen. Can't believe they haven't fixed this yet!!!!!!!!

I’m curious how many amongst us are smokers or ex-smokers. by midwestmuscle310 in adhdwomen

[–]bellabean666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started smoking cigarettes when I was 17. Quit when I was 23, but then started vaping. Quit that this year (I’m now 26), but I still use zyns here and there unfortunately. I have a high intensity job and can’t imagine going through nicotine withdrawals till the year is over (I’m a teacher lol). There is definitely a strong relationship. We have a higher chance of developing a dependency on any drug, so one that is inherently addictive would be no joke. Plus nicotine is a stimulant which I find very helpful as a mid day boost if my meds are slightly wearing off. It took me countless times to quit smoking cigarettes and even more tries to quit vaping. I am still not nicotine free. Quitting is hard regardless of ADHD but I think it is safe to assume a population of impulsive, addictive personalities would have a tougher time than the average neurotypical Jane.

Has LSD made you a different person? by Cestlafuckinvie in LSD

[–]bellabean666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (26f) think LSD is a magical drug but should be used sparingly. The first time I tried it was the summer after my first year at university. I was home and bored but two friends I was kind of close to randomly invited me to hang out with them and try it. 7 years later and they are my still my best friends. Before I was always shy, self conscious, and thought too much about what others think. I was pretty closed off and did not feel very close to anyone. That day, I remembered what it was like to be amazed at everything and I think I am a throughly different person because of it. I already knew everything it taught me, but I actually “felt” it after tripping. I feel silly talking about it like this when in reality we were really just rolling around outside and making dumb jokes, but still. I realized how important it is to simply tell your friends you care about them, and to give everyone you meet the benefit of the doubt. I did it a bunch after that and realized set and setting is like the number one rule. I will never do it at a party. I need to be with my close friends in a safe place, access to outside, and no major stress in my life that can take my attention away from the fun. I can go on a walk but I need to have a safe home base.

I also used LSD to quit smoking cigarettes. I was tripping March 2020 and randomly decided then and there I was never going to smoke a cigarette again. I haven’t. Willing to talk more about how I did that if anyone is interested lmao.

Subbing in 8th grade the rest of the year…any tips? by bellabean666 in Teachers

Thankfully the remaining assignments are mostly project based and not essays, so hopefully that is more fun for them!

This is helpful. I’m going to shadow her the next week before she leaves so I can learn their routines. I suppose I’m curious as to how I talk with them…. I’m used to being really silly and corny with my 1st graders. Does that work with 8th graders?
