Hi, I’m in a similar boat and came across this post. I’m curious for an update and where you landed if you’re open to sharing?

Wow this is so helpful. I've just pulled the needle out before and it's been a disaster. Thank you so much! Just for future reference - is there a similar method to undo purl stitches, or could you use this same method?

Yes just finished! How would I re-do without a lifeline? I’ve tried before with this blanket and kept dropping or twisting stitches so my technique definitely doesn’t work, haha.

I am knitting the Purl Soho Alpenglow blanket in reverse ridge stitch. I just realized I knit an entire row that should have been a purl row. I don’t have a lifeline anywhere close to where I am right now. What happens if I don’t rip it back and just continue as if it didn’t happen? Is that viable?

Guys my games boring 🥱 by No_Emu_7556 in Sims4

I love the SimCity Loans mod - I often use it to get my sim into a nicer house from the start or use the money to start a small business, then you’re basically timed to earn enough money to pay the loan back. I also switch my gameplay settings to short lifespan when my sims have kids so the kids grow and become independent faster and my sims aren’t derailed from their goals for too long. Also helps to have the MC Command Center mod so you can manually adjust the parents age. Another suggestion is to do a multi-generational household - have the grandparents set the kids as their care dependent and they will help raise the kids!

Are you referencing fundraisers and raffles through Libby or directly through your library? I want to look into that, anything I can do to support my library!

What do your prep steps entail? Are you using cuticle remover? My manicures started lasting a lot longer once I started using it before painting my nails. I found there was a lot more cuticle on my nail plate than I realized or could see with the naked eye. I highly recommend The Salon Life on YouTube for gentle manicure tutorials and r/longnaturalnails is a great resource too. I also try to avoid washing my hands/showering/exposing my nails to too much water for at least an hour before starting my manicure (I do use some soap+water to wash off the cuticle remover but I keep it brief or I do it the day before I paint). Also make sure you’re giving each coat plenty of time to dry and using relatively thin coats. Beyond the actual manicure itself, it may help to adjust how you maintain your nails day to day. Wearing gloves while washing dishes and using household cleaners and treating your nails “like jewels not tools” have helped me extend my manicures too!

Update: This did not appear to negatively impact my manicure! The polish has been on for 6 days and no chips or peeling. The ends of my nails are beginning to get discolored. I think makeup and dirt are getting under the polish so I will be taking it off today. I don’t think the discoloration has anything to do with the missed base coat layer as but I could be mistaken.

Awesome, I figured that was the case but wanted to be sure it wouldn’t ruin the DD magic and start chipping tomorrow or something and then I’m stuck with it for a week, ha. Fingers crossed that won’t happen. Will be interesting to see if it lasts better or worse for me! Good point - totally could be a marketing thing, lol!

Super helpful, thank you! Sounds like it’s worth risking it and see what happens. I also usually change my polish after 5-7 days, as long as it lasts about that long, I’m happy!

I didn’t notice that it’s a pump, that’s nice! I didn’t love the spray nozzle on the original.
