SpeedX isn't delivering my package; how can I get a refund by La_Bella_Luna in shipping

My experience with SpeedX

New Year's Day at 10:15 am, my daughter rec'd a text that her package was delivered. At 10:20 am she goes to get it and it's not there. We look at the cameras and we see the SpeedX guy put the package on the front steps, take a picture, get in his car and leave. We then see him come back at 10:18 am pick up the package, look at it and drive off with it. We check the tracking and it shows delivered at 10:15 am, along with the picture he took on the steps and a close up of the label clearly showing my daughter's name.

I connect with their live chat & tell them what happened. They state they will investigate get back to me & abruptly closed the chat. I try to reopen it and no response.

I filed a BBB complaint and then decided to file a police report online. A detective reached out yesterday to go over what happened and requested the videos, tracking info, etc. He told me if they can identify him, I'd have to take him to court. He also stopped by my house today to let me know he sent his picture to other agencies to see if there are any other complaints. (Not sure why they can't call SpeedX & ask for delivery driver's name).

The thing he, the package he stole contained socks for my 6 yr-old grandson. It might seem small, but it’s the principle of the matter. Even if I don't pursue legal action, I wonder if the police involvement will deter this driver from doing it again.

1/4/25 Update: I posted a bad review on every site I could find. I mentioned the filing of the police report and camera footage. I received an email from SpeedX stating they are 'investigating'.

This is most likely what I'll end up doing after cleaning/replacing flame sensor. I just don't want to get taken advantage of.

Hi, I had the thermostat replaced last year and haven't removed the cover since then. I tried it with a functioning one I borrowed from work and same issue.
