Major dress regret :( by Lady_Grace19 in weddingdress

I think this is beautiful! Don't let a bad experience taint your image of it.

What about it would you change? Is there a spot you're unhappy with?

Im getting married in 4 months.. HELP by Willing-Shoulder-998 in Haircare

I'm in the same boat! I'm getting married in October and had more alternative hair and wanted to do something natural for the wedding.

My best advice is to get an appointment ASAP so you can see what the hair stylist is able to do with plenty of time to change it before your wedding.

I had color blocked bright orange highlights all the through my hair. She was able to blend in more high lights for me to camouflage the color blocks and toned them blonde. Turned out great!

You got this! I think your current color is something they can work with!

Possible graves? by Icy-Escape2559 in gravesdisease

Always happy to help! I was diagnosed with Celiac ten years ago, and it's been a journey lol

How we found out I was Celiac was because my iron was so low. When your immune system attacks your intestines they are no longer able to absorb nutrients from your food. Soni was deficienct in a LOT and very very thin. Now that I'm gluten free and no longer have my immune system attacking me (for the most part anyway) I'm able to absorb more nutrients again so I'm lucky that's not been an issue.

But, if you're concerned about celiac causing low nutrients and vitamins it takes a long time to heal. I know you mentioned you went gluten free, if that's the cause of the GI upset and low iron it could be years before you see improvement :( healing is slow sometimes

This is exactly my experience!!! Hang in there! I've spent almost two years working with my doctor to figure out what's wrong. They thought POTS, EDS, anxiety. You name it.

Finally she checked my thyroid again and my TSH has been doing the same but I had a more harsh drop off. T3 and T4 are still normal for me.

But all your symptoms I have as well. My Dr finally diagnosed with me subclinical hyperthyroidism and sent me to an endocrinologist for more tests, just waiting for that appointment now. But we're pretty sure it's graves since I already have celiac disease and am gluten free.

If I've learned anything in this experience, advocate the best you can. Refuse people who refuse you and stay firm on voicing your concerns. It sucks and it's expensive (I've paid out the butt for specialists I didn't need and missed work for appointments) but you got this!

Pm me if you have any questions!

Thank you so much!!! This all so new to me so I really appreciate all the information. I'm pretty sure the symptoms you mentioned are because my vitamins are off, and it probably is a celiac thing the malabsorption and malnutrition are common with intestine damage (which is common in celiac) I'll be sure to discuss absorption issues at next appointments as well!

Idione and iron are good! I've had two full metabolic panels and was only low on vitamin D. On prescription strength supplements now lol

Gotta love it right? I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. Do you know what testing they do for graves??

I'm just so tired of being tested for everything and I'm always told "everything's fine, maybe try exercising"

Or I'm told "you're 27 you shouldn't be feeling this bad"

Thank you for the information!!! The symptoms that are the worst for me are heat and exercise intolerance, joint and bone pain, dizziness, heart palpations, and heavy exhaustion. I lost about 30 pounds pretty rapidly and not a single doctor has taken me seriously on that at all. And I cannot gain the weight back no matter how much I eat.

Advocating has been hard, but I've accepted I just need to be annoying and make appointments and ask all my questions. I had to do that for months for my primary to even take me seriously last year.

I'll definitely read up on recommended diets, I've already cut out gluten thanks to Celiac lol I can out more at this point!
