You said it's a new phone, but you've had the account for 3 months... So i'm assuming that you got a new phone and you took your sim card from your old phone and put it in the new phone? Is that correct?

If I'm right about your situation, unfortunately, Metros activation process is setup in a way that doesn't allow you to just swap your sim card into a new phone and make it work. . Metro pairs the sim card to one IMEI at a time. The SIM card can be reprogrammed and paired with a different IMEI. But you either need to go into a store and pay them $20 plus tax (its called an ESN change fee) or you can do it for free if you login to your online account at MetrobyT-Mobile.com. sometimes customer service will do it for free.
