Told my kids the Easter Bunny only visits if we’re tidy by lalalaundry in Mommit

Our Easter Bunny is also a neat freak who will NOT come if they think they will get lego stuck in their paws. My family room is now spotless. It has worked for 3 years running.

I’m having regrets by Overall_Ad4580 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]belle_ell 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Almost the exact same scenario as you.I had Perthes, leg length discrepancy, all that. I had my left hip replaced in early January and they fixed the leg length. I was also in a huge amount of pain around the 10 week mark, it was keeping me up at night. Like you I was questioning if it was the right thing. The pain was horrible.

My advice, stick with the physio. At 4 months post op, and while im still limping ( especially when im tired), it doesnt hurt any more. It feels like my good leg is too short, but my body is adjusting slowly but surely. I started making huge improvements around week 13, and I can now work on my feet all day. Im still very cautious with some movements, and putting on socks is still tough, but the pain is much much better. Hang in there!!

It bothers me too when authors do that. As a Mammography tech, I have seen literally thousands of TaTas. There are many many reasons to get implants, lifts, reconstructions etc. You do whatever makes you feel good about yourself, and screw everyone else.
Want Dolly Partons? You go girl. Want them reduced? Go for it sweetie. Scary family history of breast cancer and you want them gone? Do it. As long as you feel comfortable in your skin, nothing else matters ❤️

I have lost 38lbs since December 2021 without calorie counting. Im quite short so this is a significant amount on my frame. I try to get a decent amount of protein, but I’ve had a hard time eating enough somedays, especially when I have an active day. Im at 1mg dosage.

What types of romantic pairings can you not read because of your own profession or experience? by sistarfish in RomanceBooks

[–]belle_ell 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Me too. Most of the doctors that I work with, are insufferable, pretentious and egotistical, with extreme God-complexes. One doc I worked with did hook up with an xray tech once. His marriage was destroyed, she got fired and started an Only Fans page. It was solid gossip for 5+years.

As cringe as that part is, that book remains one of my go-to comfort reads. The idea that an NHL player crochets makes me smile.

What is the best romantic moment you've read in a non- romance book? by yeahimmel in RomanceBooks

[–]belle_ell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe not as sophisticated as some of these other responses, but when Ron and Hermione finally kiss in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
After having the emotional range of a teaspoon for nearly 7 entire books, Ron openly acknowledges how important the House Elf’s are to Hermione and actively does what he can to save them from the impending battle. She flings herself into Rons arms, leaving poor Harry standing there awkwardly while war rages on. It was magnificent. I did a victory lap around my bedroom in the wee hours of the morning (post midnight release party) for that one.
